This guys only worried about his own PhD degree. He doesn't teach anything EVER! May as well not even show up and read the book because its useless to attend class, except for the labs. He will pass you though just so it doesnt reflect his poor teaching. Also there is alot of work so be prepared that his lab assistants will give you.

less helpful over time. he seems to be getting more focused on his own studies and less on the classes he is "teaching". he is less and less part of his online classes to the point that they are basically self study. not sure why I'm paying for a teacher.

Really helpful teacher, even though he wasn't always in the labs, he was always ready to help you whenever you need it. I thought I was going to fail the class because it was really hard for me and I made it through with an A. Read the book, it'll help alot.

Great professor, will help if you need it, you can easily joke around with him, but does have a heavy workload. But you need the heavy workload to be able to fully understand this material. If you have a problem with sarcasm, don't take him.

Cisco at ECU starts with Pickard and he sets the tone for what you need to have for CCNP. Labs, packet tracer and cisco test modules are the weekly regiment along with one or two group projects through the semester. Attempting the CCNA is required for 2158 and passing it is required to move to CCNP courses.

Had Mr. Pickard for several classes. He'll work you hard and if you have free time he'll give you more. If you do your part though and put forth the effort he'll reward you equally. When I left I felt like I knew the material quite well.

John is Awesome!! I had him for Routing, Switching and Remote Access in the CCNP phase of my networking degree. BE PREPARED TO WORK! He drowns you in case studies and assignments but it only helps you learn the material in and out. After he has weeded out the majority that arnt taking it seriously it turns into a laid back, fun environment.

This guy will try to seem like a hardass when he gives assignments, but will help you understand anything you ask about. As long as you do your part in studying, he will not let you do bad in class.
