Dr. White knows so much about so many diverse topics and is always eager to discuss them with his students. I think students quickly assume that he's a mean spirited person. That's truly not the case! He just presents his material in ways that do not work for everyone. He can be harsh but genuinely wants to see his students succeed!

Very insightful professor. Coming to KU was a bit of a culture shock, but in his classes I felt I could really come out of my shell and enjoy the class material. A lot of written material, but reading assignments were always a quick read. If you didn't understand something it would certainly be addressed by him or a student in discussion.

I thought Dr. White was really awesome! I loved the class and the fact that we didn't have any tests. The class was time-consuming because of all the performances we had to attend but I like to write, and I did very well in his class.
