I graduated a few years ago and have been teaching for ten years, and I can honestly say Dr. Rogan prepared me more for the actual teaching profession than any other teacher. He has high standards and demands the same from you. If you do all the work, his expectations ARE clear. Basically, if you are lazy, you are not cut out to be a teacher!

Was a nice guy, but way too much work for one semester. All tests were essays but he never helped students if they had trouble in class or in field placements. Made rude jokes to female students and discriminated against the female students in his class.

Dr. Rogan was awesome. There are times where he doesn't really make his expectations clear (especially in SS Methods), but he's always willing to answer any questions you may have. Definitely means business. Oh, and likes to take vacations to Vegas--lots of missed classes.

Dr. Rogan is very bright and knowledgable about what it takes to be a teacher. He has high standards for his students and he doesn't settle for less. As the former department head, his high expectations give our education dept. its credibility.
