Juan expects a lot from his students, but he is fully invested in helping them achieve their fullest potential. His lectures are engaging, informative, and full of funny anecdotes. It would be a disservice to your intellectual growth to forgo a class with Juan. My absolute favorite professor (and person!) at CC!

Absolutely love him; I take all the classes I can. He's ridiculously smart, and welcomes arguments against him (if they are intelligent). Best Poli Sci professor I had. Took three classes with him- Intro to Comparative, Latin America 1, Inter-American Relations

Juan is an extremely dedicated and intelligent teacher. His classes have helped me grow as an individual. He is also my advisor and I have had extremely good experiences with him.

Also took Latin America I. Best professor I've had. I learned more than any other class and was engaged. I was excited to go to class. He has so many great stories and is unbelievable knowledgeable. Difficult but engaging - He made me work, but I wanted to do it. Cheesy, but he changed my life.

He's a GREAT professor---keeps you interested the entire class and makes me want to write down every word. Has me convinced the world is ending, though. Extremely interesting prof. Don't need to do the reading in PS101--heard this is diff for other classes. Oral final.

Lindau's brilliant, funny, engaging, helpful. The most amazing prof I have ever known. I was impressed with his patience when it came to dealing with stupid people. He was instrumental in teaching me to write coherently. And he doesn't wear a toupee. I went swimming with him on the Mexico-Canada trip.

Friendly, helpful, available, funny. He gave us a verbal final, which is less fun than it sounds like since we didn't know what the questions would be, but I learned a LOT in his class that'll stay with me for a long, long time. He does need to lose the hairpiece, though.
