Took for an Honors class. I am an A student and put in at least 3 times the work than my friends. I could never get an A in this class. Very difficult. Didn't follow powerpoints. Didn't follow material in any order. Didn't use class time for teaching. Not available during office hours. Overall worst experience in my education. Glad I transferred.

This professor is rude and degrading. I signed up for a violent crime class. She gave 3 or 4 presentations on the subject matter and then hit us with a stats class. Nothing about observing people's driving habits and its statistical findings is what I signed up for. Ridiculous and needs to never teach this class again.

"Anyone" can get a degree at UTSA...few professors are concerned with whether or not you actually learn "something". Firestone..does...take her and learn from her...her toughness and geniune academic integrity is what lacks at UTSA. UTSA..the next "social promotion" capital...come here...go figure...dumbing down...

alumni here. i'm just going to come out and say it: most students at UTSA are weak. they lack the curiosity, work ethic, and requisite intelligence to be good college students. if that's you (though you'd never admit it) stay away from her and collect your piece of paper in 4 years. if you want to Learn or are considering grad school, she's a must.

Awful professor, the WORST!! Her material has nothing to do w/CRJ. Heard that she isn't really a CRJ prof, comes from Sociology Dept. Very rude and has complex of superiority, in my opinion. Dropped her class and will be taking another to satisfy my degree reqs. I'm surprised she hasn't been fired, awful profs like her, should be.

HORRIBLE! FRUSTRATED! Should've stayed away but no one else teaching this course. I'm a SR & do wk hard but this is insane. Nothing to do with inferred subject matter! Only teaches u how to do stats - that's what I took a STATS class for. Gives written instructions FULL of material errors causing ur wk to be wrong. High drop rate. BAD instructor.

Interesting lectures. Her tests were frustrating because the reviews really don't help. Papers are HARD but she gives you chances to revise, so it's cool. Don't wait til the last minute to do them!! She's always in her office to help. I liked her, and I did well, it's just those darn tests... And she's very sweet as a person.
