His lectures are really long and can go off subject. I didn't really take notes in class because his notes are really hard to read (Bad handwriting). I read at home and took my own notes. His test and exams are pretty easy if you read the textbook. The syllabus has a great agenda of what to expect/stays schedule. light home/great teacher.

His class is very easy and doable, but his lectures take FOREVER. He's very boring, but as long as you read and catch up, you'll survive his class. He's not hard at all, it's his lectures that make it hard to focus.

Worst handwriting ive ever seen. He would have us type and print a question we make about the reading every class. Very boring class and its important but not mandatory to go. YOU NEED THE BOOK, very reading heavy. Exams very easy, made 80s with minimal studying.

Took Halley for Deviance and Difference. His lectures are disorganized and hard to follow at times, but he is clear about what will be on the exams. Go to lecture every day and read what he assigns, you should easily get at least a B, if not an A. He is thoughtful about students so long as you communicate with him! Didn't use the book that much.

Dr Halley is a great prof. and is very involved with his students. The material presented in the reading can be difficult to comprehend at times but Dr. Halley does an excellent job of throughly explaining it. Thats why its important not to miss class. I've actually gotten alot more out of the class than I expected. Its a great class to take!!!

I always feel very confused. I never want to be on time, because I never want to be there due to his lack of excitement. He never makes much sense and thinking about it now frustrates me VERY MUCH. Honestly, he is one of the worst professors I have ever had. =o(

I took him this summer. He is a good professor, as longer you attend class, take his notes he would count that as part of your final grade. He is an understandable professor for any personal problem as longer you tal to him. Keep comunication between him and he would help you out. Im enrolling in other courses. Good Professor

Dr. Halley he is very good professor. As longer you take his notes, attend everyday class which is very important for him. he wants you to participate and see you active. If you do that he would support you. If you have any personal problem talk to him. he is very human sometimes you dont see that in other professors. That' what i like about him. I

I previously took Deviance in Spring with Dr Halley and really enjoyed it. If you want to think, to actually LEARN, then Classical Sociological Theory with Dr Halley will make you do just that. Because of his teaching style, I not only retain what he teaches but am also able to retrieve the information at will. Very impressive instructor & course!

Dr. Halley provides an excellent course on which to "hang" theories of deviance; this course is not easy - but to be honest, if you attend class, read on schedule and take notes during lecture, you are sure to ace the course. I have taken two courses with Dr Halley, and I expect to take 2 more as my schedule permits...

I took Dr. Halley for Differences in Deviance. Great Class. As a criminal justice major, his class gave me a different perspective towards the offenders who commit deviant acts. I really enjoyed this class. You must take this class if you plan on being in law enforcement. It helps you understand why people commit deviant acts.

If you want to take something with you when you are done with college, PhD Halley will get you there. You will be required to pay attention, read, attend, and participate; if you do, you'll do well. This class was a challenge but it allowed me the autonomy to study what I wanted and produce some of the better work I have yet to do.

Dr. Halley is a good professor, his class is just challenging. I missed class twice the entire semester and made it out with a C. I have taken him twice and earned C's in both of his courses. I am a working full time professinal so it was tough. Everything that is on his tests he covers in class. know your stuff His tests are tough!!
