Oh my.... She is a character very knowledgeable woman, however whenever she lecture it has nothing to do with sociology. If you suck up to her she will love you. Only study the textbooks, the tests are insane our grades were ok's ok +, or ok-. we also made the syllabus nit her.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She was always 10 to 15 minutes late to class. Rambles on about pointless things. I learned nothing from this class and dreaded going. Worst professor ever.

NEVER TAKE THIS TEACHER. class is an unorganized waste of time. not clear, unhelpful, and poorly structured. the final project is a joke and she doesn't help you with it at all. you'll ask a question and she'll say "I can't answer that." almost went to the Dean of Students. sucks. pick another class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. She is never clear on any of the assignments you are supposed to do does not answer questions and is confusing. She talks about nothing that is relevant to the class. I learned absolutely nothing. WORST CLASS EVER TAKEN IN MY COLLEGE CAREER and I'm a senior.

I took Youth and Society class with her and she wasn't that great. She rambles on about random things and she doesn't relate the reading to her lectures. Her test are ridiculous and unpredictable. She is never clear on what is on the test or what she wants for her final paper. You have to ask her a million times to get a clear idea. beware....

The worst professor. She comes to class late(15 minutes),she doesnt take interest in the class.Dont participate in discussion-she'll give you this face like your crazy. Quizzes are easy as long as you read the chapter. Midterm and final are essay tests(read 10 articles-she wont tell you which are one the test). most of what she says is irrelevent.

This professor is by far the WORST professor at Depaul. She is ignorant, rambles on and on about useless things, you cant understand what shes talking about ever. The assignments are useless. You take quiz's every thursday, and the final project is absoluely ridiculous. SHe makes you collect newspapers for weeks. WORST TEACHER EVER. DO NOT TAKE HER

HORRIBLE. Work load was super easy just read the chapter, have her talk about it in class, and then take a quiz on the chapter. It seems super easy but she never returns emails or phone calls, gives little description on the final, and does not give back or discuss the final paper or essay exams. Plain out horrible, but good for independent workers

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I am a sociology major and love the subject matter, yet this professor made me want to pull my hair out during the quarter. She is disorganized and incomprehensible. Don't expect to understand a thing she says! Seriously! She poorly prepares you for tests and the final project is HUGE and not assigned until the last minute.

I have never been so frustrated with a class in my life. When people in the class ask her if she will answer a question for them she flat out told them no. She rambled about things that had nothing to do with the class and it was unclear what she wanted from out papers and research. I recommend another teacher for this class.

I read all the other ratings and I have to say that I really enjoy Bootcheck as a professor. This is the second class that I have taken with her. She is in general a nice lady, can ramble at times yet is very knowledgeable about the topics and a published author. She is actually a sociology professor that does research and has a few published works

i have not taken a class with her. However, I have had to help friends with their research methods project because she was too lazy to create the template needed to have an accurate account. She also likes to belittle people and terribly messy and unorganized. Just lazy overall!

If I could give anyone the most imporant advice at Depaul is do NOT TAKE HER! Please don't think how I did "how bad can it be". I regret it. She is the RUDEST, most UNCLEAR prof in all the 5 school i've been to. She literally hates her job. Shes always on the defense and will teach you NOTHING.

Without ranting and raving, she's a very poor teacher and the quarter with her has been extremely frustrating. Very incoherent, disorganized, somewhat disrespectful, arbitrary grading (you will typically have NO IDEA how she decided your grade) - class is essentially a mess. So I'd recommend avoiding her.

WORST TEACHER EVER! I'm taking her right now & I can't stand her. She is SO RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL! She INSULTS THE WHOLE CLASS! She throws papers around and has a horrible attitude. Craziest lady ever, but in a good way. Probably the easiest class I have ever taken. Just read the chapters and daily quizes are so easy. If you want to be a soc major do not take because she will not in anyway talk about anything relavent to what you are learning. No final just an easy project.

I enjoyed this professor...although her class lectures often have nothing to do with the topic of the class, she is a very interesting woman and I learned a lot. I like her style of teaching and have taken classes with her more than once.
