Do not take this class with this professor! Unless you are a Geology major. She gives a lot of homework for each week you have to read a whole chapter from your textbook take a quiz at a specific time and do worksheets for each chapter which is between 5-10 worksheets where you have to write paragraphs! her quizzes are hard you have to read!

Grading is straightforward: quizzes 40%, assignments 40%, group field trip 20%. Read a chapter a week and take a quiz on it. For each chapter do a worksheet (due in sets of 3 about every month). Go on a field trip with your assigned group and write a field trip guide.

Unless you have all the time in the world to take this online class, don't do it. The work is extremely heavy. There is an exam every week, study guides in which you have to read the chapter more than twice in order to answer, a worksheet for every chapter that requires some time, and a group project/field trip.. Save yourself, take someone else

Gives out an online exam every week for every chapter. The readings are intensive, out of the whole chapter there are little things she tests on which sometimes makes it really frustrating cause realistically are you going to remember every detail of the book? There is a worksheet for every chapter & group field trip project, FOR AN ONLINE CLASS..

This class is technical and she lectures very quickly, so be prepared to hit the ground running and take lots of notes. Labs and lecture content are practical-- she is going to prepare you to go work in Hydrogeology and not be useless. Course is groundwater focused, take GEOL134 Geomorphology if you want surface water processes.

Professor is not approachable. I had an A all semester long and ended up 9 points short of an A and professor never cared. Quizzes are hard and you're basically on your own the whole semester. Wouldn't recommend this class to anyone

She is the worst teacher I have ever taken. After giving me 0 points for an assignment because someone copied my paper, she would not let me make up for it in any way. The quizzes are hard, 2 minutes per question. You wont get an A in this class unless your a Geology major, work/grades are like we are graduate students. DONT TAKE!!

Online Class; textbook needed. Weekly modules and quiz - quizzes are directly from the module worksheets. Three midterms that are from the text; provides study guide but it still very difficult! This course is horrible, quizzes are based upon her Modules- so she claims- you can read the entire book and still fail, her moduled are 1-6 pages long and based on online animation which never work. DO NOT TAKE HER if you want to a decent class.

Online course (except group project is one-time attendance). Need to be self-disciplined. Challenging but learned a lot. Blackboard website hard to navigate; lots of information. Learning modules & worksheets every week for weekly quiz and 3 exams re book and study guides. Group field project & written report. Not easy.

Take WALTER ARENSTEIN instead! He is great and this class was too tedious for the fun subject. The essay is stupid and she'll make you hate geology. She grades too harsh unless u're her pet or something.Test are straight from book so take the study guide and write down all page numbers next to each question before the test...this class sucked

Her online course was easy. Assignments were quite simple. Quizes were given on a weekly basis but can only be taken between 5pm-10pm. The quiz were either very easy or very hard. Study guides are given for exam but that doesn't seem to help much.

If you're a diligent student you will do really well in this class. She uses study guides for all the quizzes and exams that all but lay out the exact questions. She really wants you to succeed. Beware of the environmental report, however. She is very particular about what she wants. Make sure you do it all or you lose major points!
