I learned a lot, mostly from the constructive criticism of Prof Schory and classmates. Prof Schory is probably not popular because she like students to follow the rules (turn in assignments on time, show up for class...)

She made me feel stupid sometimes in front of the class. Her directions for some assignments were not clear if you asked about she look at you like your an idiot. She has to force people to talk in her class I think it was because everyone was afraid to. I can't believe she cares so much about spelling!

She doesn't really help her students at all, most of the time she explains things once and if you need help she looks at you condescendingly. So its a rather vague class.

I was the only student to come to class every day and turn in every assignment on time. She even used my projects as examples in other classes. Despite all this she still gave me a B even though she never gave me any suggestions on how to improve my work until after I turned it in. Only B in college, and she wouldn't even discuss giving me an A.

Decent teacher but she tends to ramble on and on about issues that have no information relevant to the class. The rambling often times causes class to run long. Is very inflexible with scheduling, and often times will not pay attention to struggles students are having in class, even if the whole class is having the same or similar problems.

Unlike a lot of people, I think she knows graphic design well, but she has no clue how to teach it. She takes great pleasure in making fun of and reprimanding students during class. It doesn't matter if the students in question are actually there or not. She is completely unhelpful.

Displays the amazing ability to find the worst in any student's work. Not a single class went by that she did not have some snide passive-aggresive comment for every member of her class. She wonders why everyone just shut up after the first 3 sessions. It was because we all hated her lip.

Not bad - she has good experience in the field, but she knows it ALL and laughs at people who dont. I learned a lot, but could have been motivated to take more interest and try harder. It's difficult to take creative chances when you think you may be demeaned in front of classmates.

Comment:

Schory is extremely unfair. Nice looking women are down-graded because of their looks. Schory promotes a hostile classroom. She screams and curses at students. If you question her expect to be treated as if you are stupid.
