Comment:

For research design with yanowitz, you have to do a group project. It sucks if you don't like group projects, but she helps a lot and gives you lots of time to work with your group. She lectures a lot, but her tests are from the notes and they aren't that hard. There are lots of writing assignments to help with getting points too.

Comment:

You have to go to class to pass. The in-class writing assignments are worth as much as a test. Her test involves application questions, not definitions, but they are super easy. Overall, a solid prof and easy class.

Comment:

This was my second psych class with Dr. Yanowitz and I really enjoyed it. She is very knowledgeable and her teaching style is great. Lectures were interesting and she really cared about her students succeeding. I would highly recommend taking her for any and everything.

Comment:

One of my favorite professors! She gives you a study guide for all the tests so as long as you pay attention in class, you'll do fine. I loved her teaching style... she seems to actually want you to understand and not just pass her class. She rescheduled one of her tests but I wasn't going to be able to make it that day and she let me make it up!

Dr. Yanowitz is a quality professor. Not many professors would try so hard to help their department and their students after having a serious automobile accident. Anyone who doesn't like this professor is just looking for an easy A.

Comment:

Most people find Dr. Yanowitz hard, however, if you are willing to study and don't mind writing papers then this is the class for you. This class was EXTREMELY easy for me. I read the text, wrote the papers, and studied the textbook, notes, and study guide and pass the class with ease. Dr. Yanowitz is a great teacher, I REALLY enjoyed her class.

Good teacher, but teaching techniques are a little off. She posts study guides for every test, but requires a lot of work for her class. If you come to class, pay attention, and study you will get a solid B.

Well.. lets just say that when she says APA style realize its ****. She means Karen Yanowitz style... yea and so when you have a CORRECT APA paper its wrong... yea and then her classroom had lots of bugs.... umm but you still get a good grade.. easy A....

Dr. Yanowitz does not explain things very well. I really did not like her teaching style when it came to explaining APA style, which was a huge portion of the class. She's nice though, and her class seems to be pretty easy.

I enjoyed this class. I thought Dr. Yanowitz was a great professor. I learned a lot and the work is easy. Plus, she gives several extra credit assignments, which are simple and quick.

She is from New York and the accent takes some getting used to, but she is very intelligent and more involved in things like the psych club than the other professors. If you come to class and apply yourself it is an easy "A".
