Professor Addison is not that bad. I've had her twice. Her assignments are tedious and can be pages worth, but you basically do the assignments and you pass the class. Her lectures are power-point based and she sometimes gets off-topic, but its all related and interesting, so she does know what she's talking about.

Don't take this class if you don't like history. The homework she gives is unnecessary. Yes, she teaches in class, but never stays on one topic for too long, this class is a self teaching class. For the exam she gives you the option of either MC or Essay, PICK THE ESSAY, because she gave my friend a 90% and she only wrote 1 paragraph.

prof Addison is actually one of the best prof. in the history department. Taking another course with her this semester. If you are a history major you will love her class!! Test straight forward and she gives study guides with the answers, just study in advance and you will be fine

Prof. Addison was interesting. She was really nice and energetic, but honestly? I DID NOT like her as a prof. The lectures were unorganized and assignments and tests were not handed back in a timely fashion.

I took her 5-week summer course, and knowing what i was getting into i still managed to pass the class with an A. she has bad ratings because there's a lot of reading and it's lecture heavy. She uses a free online textbook that saves you money. Just read and follow her syllabus and which chapters to read. Her homework is basically the test. READ!

Professor Addison is AWESOME!!! She is very inspirational and really cares for her students. He lectures are engaging and keep you drawn in! This class only meets once a week so if you miss a day you will get very far behind. There is a lot of reading for this class, but again it only meets once a week.

She did this whole "zero-cost" initiative thing so there was no textbook for the class, bad mistake in my opinion. In general, her lectures are just her rambling on about the time period with little "oh yeah this is important" type things only sprinkled in. She posts a lot of files/readings on canvas and only so few are actually needed.

One of the most sarcastic professors you will ever have. Sometimes the class feels really unorganized and just chaotic but she means well. Nothing really to do necessarily. Graded by 3 assignments and 3 tests!

If you are serious about History, You have to experience Professor Addison. The professor will make you work for it, but you will be a better historian for it. Warning, if you are not a history major do not take this class. The professor is very knowledgeable and willing to help you not coddle you. You will never research the same way again.

Addison has great humor & seems like an amazing person. However, my experience w/ her wasn't the best. We only had 3 essays, & that's what our grades are based off of. If you mess up the first test (essay) like i did, you have only 2 other chances. Be as specific as you can in the essays. Do the study guides in detail. Prepare to teach yourself.

I strongly advise you not to take her. She posts grades super late so you never know what you have in the class. Her lectures are super confusing. Plus, her exams are insanely difficult. She puts questions that were not even discussed in class or in the book making it super hard to get an A in this class.

She's a great person, but not too great when it comes down to teaching her students. Her test focuses on weird details, and it is very hard to retain all the information from every chapter. You never know what will actually be on the test. Do essay better, it is way better than multiple choice. Just get ready to spend hours reading.

Her class is sometimes incredibly difficult to follow as she does not give typical lectures. She often strays away from what she's talking about and tells other stories. She has a funny personality, but can sometimes be very difficult to reach. She does not always reply to emails. Read, do hw and do the essay section on exams NOT multiple choice!!!

Professor Addison cares more about critical thinking than detail recollection. Yet when I studied for her tests, I often wished that I had more to grab onto and memorize. I found myself simply reading the entire chapter through because I wasn't exactly sure what I needed to know. She doesn't give back grades until the end of the semester.

She is a funny professor and has a sense of humor. But I wouldn't take her if you really hate history. She makes you read like 4 chapters that contain so much info. She gets off topic a lot in lectures and oh not to mention she jumps from slide to slide which confuses you even more. However, her personality is great she'll make you laugh.

She's a good person and occasionally a good professor. If you enjoy history, the class will be fun and you'll enjoy her sarcastic sense of humor. She heavily incentivizes the reading but I NEVER did it, pay attention to the lectures and slides (that she posts all online). Tests are ok, but do the essay instead of multiple choice if you want to pass

BIG NO. There is so much reading you need to do that will not even be on the test . You will notice throughout the semester people don't even show up to her class because its useless . The study guide can sometimes help but it isn't even on the test , I failed this class and now I have to retake it. But not with her lol
