Comment:

Took Statics with Prof Issen. Had no midterms only final exam, but also weekly quizzes. Assigns HW every class. Great lectures, really easy to follow along. Really accessible after class and cares about students learning the material. She even had additional office hours the weekend before finals week started.

Comment:

I didn't understand how not a single person rated her lower than a 5.0 before taking her class. I get it now. She is awesome! She is extremely knowledgeable, very good at communicating points in class, and helpful in office hours as well; a rare combination.

No midterm exams were given in this course, they were replaced with weekly quizzes and a final which was very fair. Easy A if you get the homeworks done and master the quiz questions prior to each quiz.

She is amazing! Here sections often fill up quick so don't hesitate to enroll. Issen truly cares about students and making sure they learn the material. She has plenty of office hours and is an amazing adviser. If you go to class and do the hw you will have no problem getting an A. By far the best Professor I've had here at Clarkson!!

Issen is by far the best professor on campus. She doesn't give exams, but you have weekly quizzes that make up about 60% of your grade. Homework is due every class and there are 2 group projects which are basically just a long homework problem that you work on with others. If you can take statics with Issen, I promise you will not regret it!

professor issen is amazing. definitely the best professor i've had at Clarkson. she loves her job, she loves her students, and she's always there when you need help. she puts her students first which is sometimes hard to come by. good job Clarkson.

Professor Issen is a truly amazing professor, quite possibly the best I have ever had. She has a genuine concern for her students and is just a nice person. She teaches the material incredibly well and is incredibly helpful with questions. Her tests are very fair if you know the material. Homework is a bit heavy but also fair.

Very good at what she does. Instead of assigning large assignments weekly, she assigns small assignments nightly, which makes the student learn the material, without putting much stress on them. If given a pop quiz in each class, hers is the one I would do best in. She is also fair, and is very professional and respectful.

Very good professor. Lots of examples and tests are mirror images of homework assignments. Keep up with the work and you will ace any class she teaches.
