Professor Anno is a good professor. I appreciate how caring and encouraging she is for students. But I wish she took the time to explain more in class. It is a bit difficult to understand her due to the language barrier and the heavy accent. In all honesty, I don't think I'll take another class with her.

Comment:

She's such a caring professor and brought in snacks for the class. Her accent is quite heavy and at times can be difficult to understand. There is a lot of memorization of vocabulary, so please be prepared for that.

Comment:

While Anno-sensei was a fun teacher who brought us snacks and really cared about her students, the language barrier is a real struggle with her. For the most part you teach yourself, and she clarifies things (to the best of her ability...) in class. This is a language class so be prepared to memorize a lot, at least 30 min. a day.

A sweet person, she clearly cares and wants to teach people Japanese, but honestly, I don't feel like I learned much in her class. She's good for very basic Japanese classes, but once you reach the intermediate level, try to get a different professor. Her class is an easy A, but you won't finish the class with a huge gain in Japanese knowledge.

Anno Sensei really cares, but she's a bit scatterbrained an misses some crucial points when teaching Japanese. She doesn't really explain anything and there is a bit of a language barrier. I feel like my Japanese got worse because she doesn't understand my questions or explain anything thoroughly. She tries her best but it's rough to learn from her

Anno Sensei is a fantastic teacher. She is very inspirational and is always a pleasure to be in the presence of. My love for the Japanese culture and language has greatly increased since being with Anno Sensei. Her teaching style is very helpful for an introduction course, because we are inherently learning the most basic Japanese. Take her!!!!

Anno-sensei is awesome. She's incredibly sweet, but also kind of calls people out (in a very kind and sweet way) when they don't do certain things she expects them to do. She can be kind of difficult to understand, but is really good at driving home some of the lessons she teaches - others not as well, but I would still recommend her.

Anno sensei is a kind and sweet woman who really does seem to care for her students and wants everyone to excel in class. However, her teaching methods aren't that great. She skips many crucial grammar points and teaches the class as if we were children. Easy A, but I would recommend taking a different teacher.

Great professor! Doesn't speak English very well but she's still hilarious and does her best to explain the material and makes sure that you understand it as well. She also brought in food for us every week as well as friends of hers that we could practice speaking with!

I will start off by saying that I LOVE her as a person. However, I do not like her as a teacher very much. She is a veryyy lenient grader, but is so confusing in what she is looking for. She does not teach the lessons very well! I have to go through the book and teach myself most of the lessons.

Anno sensei wants everyone to get an A, she will help you outside of class, even if you didn't ask for it. she lets you know when you are doing bad. her accent is very thick so it's hard to understand the lesson sometimes but she makes class interesting with props, candy and food!

she is a sweetheart and brings food but should NOT be teaching a 100 level class. she does not speak english and it makes it very hard to understand what is happening especially on grammer. take her if you already know what's going on or have time to teach yourself otherwise avoid as a first year language student!

Great Teacher. Learned a lot of Japanese. The homework is fairly easy if you know the materials. She has a very respectful manner to students. She brings Japanese food too!
