Comment:
Don't get me wrong, Kenneth Kung is a great person and he knows his stuff. I feel like he might not be the best at teaching certain classes in CPSC. Some of the assembly based classes are difficult to explain and Kung sometimes has a hard time explaining. Sometimes it felt like he was teaching the first 2 rows and would forget the rest of the class

Prof. Kung is extremely accomplished, and most likely a genius -- not kidding, ask about his background. Man, if he were my dad! His lectures were great and very organized. I learned a ton of useful skills in his class, even though it was just a seminar class! CSUF absolutely needs professors like Dr. Kung. Go Bruins!

One of the best Professor and individual I have meet in my life. He has vast knowledge and is super wealthy, but he is down to earth person. He makes every students feel comfortable during their presentation, provides positive feedback and key areas for improvement. I hope more professors learn the skills from him. Very fast grader.

Prof. Kung is an exceptional professor. Helpful, generous and fast grader. Has a wealth of experience in both the academic world and the industry (defense), so talk to him about it! He has a lot of great advice. I was annoyed by many of the other students that took advantage of him (showed up only for their presentationswere disrespectful).

Incredibly kind and generous professor. Very helpful during office hours. Even though the tests are open notes/book, don't be caught off guard. You need to understand the concepts to score well. Tip: when you get to the section about "critical path," make sure you especially understand what that means and what pieces of hardware are involved.

Good professor. Seven homework assignments, two midterms and a final. All exams are open book, open notes and most questions are directly from the book or homework assignments. The book is really easy read. Lectures are on Titanium if you miss class.

He is very knowledgeable prof. His teaching is really interesting. he is the best teacher I've ever seen in CSUF. Also his lectures are very much text book based. If you study the text book you can get an A easily.

He is the best professor that I have ever had, he assigned the HW after each chapter and will go over the solution after the due date. The test is quite hard but you will get C at least if you understand the HW well. He is glad to answer your question. If you have any question on the HW or lecture, feel free to ask him. he is a super easy grader.

Really nice teacher! Very patient when you have questions. His grading is fair as I expected grades slightly lower. The class can get boring, but there's just so much you can do to make encryption exciting. He does attempt to make it interesting with real world scenarios though. In this day and age you have to learn this to survive in IT.

It's probably a testament to Dr. Kung's niceness that he gave me a "C" and I probably went to class maybe 3 times all semester. And it was painfully obvious that I did not know the 1st thing about encryption. That being said, this was the most boring class I've ever had. Perish all ye who register here!

Smart and knowledgeable... but cancels too many lectures. Also, his grading is not a fair assessment of how much you have learned. Some of his stories are interesting, but most lectures can be boring. It's best to keep him sidetracked with questions.

Great instructor but a bit on the abstract side. Needs to not cancel so many lectures.

He's a very good teacher. For someone who spent ten years of his life at the NSA, it's no surprise. Tries to help you get a job where he works now.
