Comment:

Yeah he's nice and writes everything you need to know on the board so there is no need to read BUT there are only 4 grades (3 exams and a 6 page paper). Listening to him makes me want to bang my head against a wall- I cannot wait to get out of the classroom! He does speak very strangly and literally jumps all over the room. Overall, not reccomended

I took US 1 for a second time and I got an A. I got a 100 on the term paper. He writes the notes on the board and he tells you EXACTLY what is on the test. He gives you the possible essay questions the class before the test. I would recommend taking him if you need a history class.

He writes the notes on the board and tells you what to underline and what will be on the test, all you have to do is memorize your notes. He's a nice guy, and you can tell that he really knows what he's talking about and that he loves what he does. He's a little quirky, but I would recommend him.

He is an easy teacher, gives so many notes and all related to test. But thats where the positives of this class ends. He talks very strangely and very fast. He is never available for help and you ask him a question, he will tell you to go ask someone else. IF you want an actual education regarding history take someone else. He is not a good teacher

He speaks way too fast and he seems to be in a rush all the time. His handwriting is awful and you can never understand it. He spells everything out loud and repeats important information a lot though.

I LOVED HIM!!! He is the best history teacher ever! Explained everything,had answers to all extra questions,very funny,fair!Want to take his class again!Can not miss class,he teaches at grate speed,but tells what will be on the test,prepairs very very well,won`t need the text book at all!

He makes everything interesting, and you will never have a surprise as to what is on the test. He is also a great speaker. I drove an hour away just to take him b/c i had him for west civ I when i lived closer. take him over anyone else if you want to learn, not have to buy a book and meet a truly interesting and extremely intelligent professor.

He is one of the best teachers I have had so far at this school. He is crystal clear with notes. He's a genuis with his memory and knowledge. You are only allowed 2 absentees and I mean only 2 or your finished out the door. Other than that he is interesting and a wonderful teacher and a really nice and funny man. If you don't do well your fault.

amazing teacher. if you dont pass your honestly a retard. he gives you every note you need, and tells you exactly what will and will not be on the test. hes so nice and entertaining, never a dull moment in this class. he repeats himself alot but at least you remember what he says. overall an excellent teacher i would strongly recommend

Nielsen is a great Western Civ professor. He gives you all the material you'll need for the tests and even goes over all the tests the day before you take it. He is wonderful and I liked the class. His handwriting is pretty sloppy, but once you get past that, it is a good class. He assigns pages to read in the book. but you don't need to.

Professor Nielsen is a great History teacher. He is very clear and tells you exactly what is on the test. You use the book but I didnt and I got an A (I'm telling you highlight and take the notes and you will pass.) He is funny and has photographic memory. I recommend him definitely. I am actually taking him for the second time.

Professor Nielsen was a pretty good teacher. The tests are directly from the notes and you know exactly what to study,so it's not too hard to pass with a good grade. One 6 page paper and a cumulative final. The final was kinda tough cuz of all the information that we covered, but other than that smooth sailing.

ok, he is NOT that great of a teacher, he talks fast, yea notes, which isn't bad, But its fill in the blanks!! It hard! You need to study so much! I only passed! he grades bad for the test essays. He acts funny!yea you don't need your book, but if you love fill in the blanks go for it,if you want a good grade get a better teacher!

you seriously don't need the book. you come in, sit, and take notes the entire period. hes the only one that talks as well. his tests are easy for the most part, since he tells you what's on the tests and quizzes and you underline the answers in your "bible" of notes. overall, he was "ok."

Prof. Nielson is awesome! He makes it impossible for you to fail-and he's a super nice guy. I'd take him again in a heartbeat! Just do not talk during class, or be prepared to be embarrassed!

nice teacher.dont buy book.you take about 2-3 pages of notes everday.he underlines exactly whats goin to be on the tests, no surprises.you have one test, midterm,6 page research paper & a final.no homework.cannot talk at all during class.pretty boring jus notes all day.only takes attendence the 1st 2 weeks.easy class though jus dont interrupt him
