Yes, the class is hard. You might not be able to understand why Dr. Ng makes it so hard at the time. But the way he trains you will be VERY helpful along the way in your science path. EXPECT difficult tests. I failed my first test. After that I spent much more time on study and got 100% on the second one and finally got and A from him. SO STUDY!

People really need to evaluate the subject and Dr. Ng separately. Sorry, analytical chem is never easy. However, Dr. Ng really did a great job of explaining all the concepts and caring about students' success. If you want to pass, make sure you understand all the details and concepts behind the calculations (That's exactly what analytical chem is).

Dr. Ng lectures are odd since he expects you to take pictures of the slides so show up to every lecture. Make sure to study them in detail as the tests are difficult. You must be efficient and precise to get good grades in lab. Seems impossible at first but demands will make lab skills improve dramatically, which makes the class worth taking.

Dr. Ng is a very intelligent and caring professor. His tests are very difficult, but he is fair with curves and making sure the whole class doesnt fail. Lab reports are important to pay attention to detail and get feedback on them if possible. Overall, Dr. Ng is a personable and competent teacher with a lot to offer his students.

dr. Ng was one of my favorite people because he is extremely nice and so funny. however, i do not think he teaches the class in a good way for people to understand the material because it is very hard. you have to be at every lecture because he does not post anything on blackboard so you have to take pictures of the slides with your phone.

This was one of the tougher classes I took during my undergrad. However, Dr. Ng is clear on what he expects from students who want an A in the course. I found going over the example problems given during lecture were a good indicator of what to expect on his exams.

This class in itself is not an easy class. Effort will be needed to pass the class but it will come with sweet glory when you pass the class. It will require you to pay a lot of attention in class because equation topics are similar to what is on the topic for the course book but explained in a more simplistic way, which helps for exams.

Dr. Ng is a great professor. I have taken a couple of courses from him at Fresno State and found him to be helpful and understanding. He does a great job explaining his power point presentations and making the information from them very receivable. Besides that though he is a very caring individual and is there for his students.

Dr. NiceGuy is an amazing professor! Yes, the material itself is tough, but what do you expect as a college student. He really wants students to succeed, and you just gotta put your effort. Also, if you get an A from his class, he will write very strong letter of rec for you. I'm grad student, and I still appreciate the knowledge he taught me.

Dr. Ng has a great sense of humor and really strives for every single one of his students to have success. His class overall is challenging, but fair. The difficulty for this class is basically like Chem 1B, but much more in depth. He offers opportunities for extra credit and gives curves. However, you NEED to put in effort if you want a good grade

Dr. Ng really cares about his student's success. CHEM102 is a tough class that demands a lot of time to do well (particularly, lab). Don't schedule it with other classes that demand a lot of time, or you'll get overwhelmed. I really appreciate Dr. Ng's effort to work with me in this challenging class. You're also learning from one of the best.

Dr. Ng is a nice guy. His lectures can be quite long and boring, but it helps with his tests. Be prepared to work your butt off though because his tests are extremely challenging. Try to learn everything; anything on the lecture can be on the tests. Lab is fun, but the reports consume time if you want a good grade. Gives extra credit.

Dr. Ng is the best spectroscopist. His lectures were informative and I learned a lot of concepts from his lectures. Also is the only Faculty member in the chem department with the most published papers. If I'm not mistaking he has over than 50 publications.

Chem 227 with Dr. Ng is the best graduate level course offered in the chemistry department. The scientific insight, personal experiences, and laboratory techniques shared by Dr. Ng are priceless. We were even able to build three different spectrometers with just household items and laser pointers! It was a good deal! :)
