Hovsepian is best defined as polarizing. You either love her because you like her stories and appreciate her lack of homework and academics in general, or you hate her because she doesn't really teach much and doesn't structure her classes at all. She does grow on you if you take multiple courses with her.

I have had Hovsepian for a few classes. She is hysterical, fun, and knows a lot about international business. If you attend class regularly you will have no problems. If you skip a lot, she will probably hate you.

I love Hovsepian. However, I did find this class difficult, and she helped me a lot because of it. I took this class as a senior in high school. The tests were difficult because you had to read the book. The questions come from the book.

I took this as a junior in high school and, although we didn't have a typical lecture, I did learn. Between Hovsepian and my high school business teacher, it was clear I was going to be a Marketing major. Her tests were difficult because you actually had to read the book. The questions come directly from the book.

tests are extremely hard, especially since you don't learn anything in the class. I mean she's funny and all, but this was seriously a waste of time and effort. Her teaching method is terrible.

The class really was a waste of time. I did not learn anything because she never stayed on topic. You hear all about what goes on in her life. She's extremely funny and the class is fun, however its only because you never talk about Marketing. Tests are very hard (you don't learn in class) and the homework does not teach you anything either.

i was amazed at how little somebody could actually know about their own class topic. she never knows what is going on. she doesn't read your 20 page papers. she just guesses what grade you should have got based on how much you bs with her in class. In class time is similar to listening to your 5 year old nephew tell a fake stary for 3 hours

lady is a riot, teaches minimal, tells great stories, gets sidetracked. no homework (that she remembers giving you) if you are here to actually learn, not the right place. Tests come out of her ass, the questions have like 4 right answers to choose 1 right one from. very difficult, but she uses creative grading to help you out and is biased grader.

Prof H is one of the best at AU. You don't have to learn out of a boring @$$ book. She teaches you by her expereinces as well as things outside of class. If you are a Bus major, join SIFE and get involved. I raduated in 04 and still use her as a reference and advisor. She is great!!!

do not take her for IUL, she did not show up to class all the time. it was a pain going to that class not knowing if she was coming or not. she would always say we will have class and she would not show. but if your major is business talk her for IUL.
