Such a great teacher! I was so nervous so take speech, but by the second speech I felt very comfortable because she lets you pick your own topics which makes it more comforting talking about something you have interest in! Not much use of book. She is so nice and her lectures are great, because she is a great speaker! Would recommend & take again.

Comment:

I took this class in May I would not take her again because of two main reasons: she does not give good feedback on your speeches ("Good" or "Good overall here" is not enough to know what you need to do to improve it, at least for me), and her exams, all online, have nothing to do with the chapters of the textbook. You must go to class to pass!

Ms. Smith was such an awesome professor!!! She was really nice and clear about what she wanted from you! I dreaded speech class before goin into it because public speaking aint my fortè. She made it fun and a class I enjoyed showing up to!! Highly recommend the work load is incredibly light!! Just have to keep up with online assignments. HYBRID

She is a really great professor. She really cares about your success and gives great feedback when she grades your speeches. She clearly writes out what she is looking for in your speeches. She doesn't care if you use filler words and you get to choose your own topics.

She is super cool if you show up and do your work. If you are not wanting to take it online, Smith is your best option. Act like you care and you will succeed. She doesn't care if you use filler words like "um" or "uh". All the answers to her tests are found online. You will have 5 extemporaneous speeches (4 by yourself and 1 as a group).

Honestly I hate talking in front of people and was really dreading this class, but Mrs. Smith is a wonderful teacher. I took the class Hy-brid and i really enjoyed it. She's a great teacher and I would totally recommend her!

Mrs. Smith was awesome! She's very clear on what she wants and what she expects. If I had to miss a day and got with her before class through email she was very understanding. Her quizzes were the online questions from the book, 33 out of about 4 chapters to pick from. She's really big on visual aids. Love her class and tell everyone to take it.

I LOVE HER. Her tests are straight from the review and she gives us exact guidelines for speeches. The only concern is that it's SO easy, it feels pointless to go to class. But you have to because she counts absences! Take her! You won't regret it

Comment:

Ms. Smith understands that giving speeches is difficult, so she makes the class as easy as possible. All the student has to do is LISTEN! She gives you all the info you need, step-by-step for your speeches. She answers questions when you ask so there is no reason to fail if you try. I highly recommend her if you are nervous about giving speeches.

She is a good teacher but she is boring at times. I made all A's on Test and the Speeches were B. She is the only teacher that lets you out of class very early every day (Only 50 min. class) and don't miss your Speech Day. The speeches are kind of hard to me but the Tests are not.

She is an easy teacher if she likes you, I thought she was really Bias and if she dint like you or what you were doing your speach over, you would notice it on your papers, she would take off more points on some of our speaches for doing things that other people did, but she would not even take off for theirs or take a third of what she did on ours

Grades according to your ability. The worst grade I made on a speech was a B... The tests aren't extremely difficult either. Just listen and take notes and you will do fine. If you have trouble giving a speech get a tudor or a classmate to help you out and you will be good.

EASY EASY EASY class. I hate giving speeches but Mrs. Smith made it fun. She is very flexible and willing to work with anyone as log as you just talk to her. DO NOT MISS A SPEECH DAY!! Just a fair warning. I recommend her for speech. Very personal and has a great personality.
