Comment:

Very fun professor who makes the lectures interesting. He is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have. The only grades in the class come from tests, and the questions on the tests are directly from the lecture, so go to class, take good notes and you'll do well. He is very clear and thorough in his teaching which is very helpful.

Comment:

Dr. Brenton is a fantastic professor! You may not feel like you are covering much material or that you are not learning much but then when you go to take a test or apply those skills in another class, there is no doubt that you know what you are doing. He is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. It is a shame that he is retiring WI2013!

This is a nice and great instructor, who just happens to be a MATH GENIUS! He explains all methods of getting to the answers so simple that you think you are great in math.He doesn't force you to come to class, he makes it clear it's your lost not his! At first appearance...he acted/played the inepted professor..you will learn...HE IS A MATH GENIUS

DR. BRENTON IS OUTSTANDING. I DID A MA AT WAYNE AND HAD A CLASS WITH HIM AND MY WIFE HAD HIM AS A MASTERS PROJECT ADVISOR. BRENTON DID HIS PHD UNDER A GUY WHO DID HIS UNDER EINSTEIN. NO JOKE. HE IS A TREASURE AT WSU AND I FEEL GRATEFUL TO HAVE HAD A CLASS WITH HIM.

Seems nice enough. Lecture was in rundown Shapero Hall. Went to two lectures. It is better to just go to the lab time with the TA's. Only 25-30 students and easier to ask questions.

MAT1000 lectures were terribly boring. It was not even worth going most of the time. We did everything in the quiz section and it was much easier to understand from the TA's. I never once used the textbook. The class is easy enough though.

He's a great guy, but sort of inept as a teacher. His lectures are painfully dull, and it doesn't help that he repeats the same examples throughout the semester. To be fair, though, MAT1000 is very low-level math, usually taken by people that don't like math, and it would be hard to make it interesting. Overall, I'd rate him about a 6 out of 10.

Wonderful prof. He makes math easy. If you want an A, all you have to do is pay attention to the lectures and understand the material. The only bad thing about him is his tendancy to drop the mircophone (hurts the ears).

What can I say that haven't been said already about this professor. I loved every bit of this class. I'm going for my masters and I am going to try my best to have him for all my calculus classes. There is no professor like him, above him, beside him, he is the absolute best of the best. Only get A's in his class.

excellent prof.. gives homework for class but does not collect... explains everything in class patiently and is a very kind and generous grader... No quizes in class and only 3 exams.. final exam is optional and the students can use the final as a replacement exam for an exam. Take this prof.. not hard at all

This Guy is the best professor ever. He is so intelligent and tries his best to explain every bit of material. He simply is the best teacher for any class. If you have the opportunity, take any class you can with this guy. His exams are straight from the homework and class notes. He assigns homework but makes sure he goes over every problem take it
