Comment:

Professor Hoff is one of the best English teachers Ive came across. His work is fair and hes understanding and helpful when it comes to his work. I would take this class again and wouldve hope he taught my other English classes. Hes very considerate and loves feedback about the work he hands out so he takes into account what to make fair.

4.6 rating? This must be a joke. By far the worse professor in BMCC. Never follows up, does not give any updates or grades back throughout the semester. I had A's in every other class except his.

4 exams, a clipping thesis and a marketing plan. I worked really hard to get an A on the clipping thesis and the marketing plan and two of the exams, but still got a B at the end of the day. Take someone else if you wanna get an A, even if you work for it, you're probably not gonna get it. Otherwise his lectures were all really interesting.

The study guide doesn't help with the tests, the summaries are annoying on turnitin, the class is boring. I sometime think I wasted money purchasing the book because he send powerpoints. He does respond to your emails. If anything, this class could have moved faster so everything would be covered better for the finals.

So basically he gave us 4 test. Then after every class you have to do a summary of all the chapters, and its like 20 in total . The chapters are really long. We also had to do a marketing plan which he was never clear about . You definitely have to really work hard to get a good grade in this class.

Great professor! If you do your work, you will pass! Every week gives homework which is good to review yourself, tests sometimes are tought! But anyway this is college! HOPE To take him again!

Tells a lot of stories based on his experiences in life but nothing really about Marketing as a subject or that really reflects the textbook material. Test did not follow any of the study guides he gave, and doesn't teach from the book, made the test harder than it needed to be. Disappointed with the class and won't be recommending this professor

Way the best Prof I had at BMCC,not becoz the class was interested but becoz he makes it be,he is so knowledgeable & know his stuff well,he talks about real life events which kept me awake,just make sure to do the summaries(summary of all 17 chapters of the book)from the start, don't wait!!!and its gonna be an easy A,4 easy exams with study guide!!

Professor Hoffman is a great teacher. Very knowledgeable and funny. He shows a lot of movies but you learn a lot. Don't leave the clipping thesis or Facebook paper for the last few weeks!

It should have been called theater class. We watched movies every week. Assigned 14 homeworks, an essay, and a clipping thesis about 2 weeks before the class ended. Rarely went over the chapters in the book and rarely did classroom discussions on the topics in the book. Will not recommend this professor.

This professor is very wise, but not a good instructor. The whole semester was spent watching movies. Instructions on homework assignments was given 2 weeks before the semester ended, which was a challenge for most. Besides that, no challenge as he gave a study guide with answers to each test. Very boring, will never take another class with him.
