Dr. Chao's lectures are generally pretty easygoing, he's an easygoing person in general. For his IT-related classes the labs are fairly easy and straightforward, and the homework is vocabulary. Do the labs and homework and you should get an A. The classes aren't very rigorous so if you want a better understanding you may need to study on your own.

Best professor I have had! Dr. Chao provides countless opportunities to students and is very knowledgeable. Easy to understand, funny, and course materials in-sync perfectly with his grading criteria. Learned a lot and looking forward to more classes with him.

I took his classes over 10 years ago. I am writing this now because I happened to logon to LinkedIn. Someone offering me a job and saw UHV possible connections and memories came back from his classes. Dr. Chao is a great professor and a wonderful understanding person.
