A real gem. Prof H is truly the best math prof ive ever taken. Her class is not that hard as long as you take notes and do the homework. She does give a lot of HW but its not that hard. She truly cares about her students and is super understanding. I am a student with a very weak background in math and yet this class was memorable. TAKE HER!

Comment:

Professor Hintzman is THE BEST! The best thing about her classes is how she will have you DO THE WORK IN CLASS in order that you may be able to practice. Her lectures are very short and effective and most of the class is practice and labs. I highly recommend that you do all the homework as it is a large portion of the grade.

Comment:

She is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She explains concepts really well and is happy to go over it again if you don't get it. She's very bubbly and kind, making for a comfortable and enthusiastic class environment. She does assign a fair amount of homework, but this will prepare you for tests. Clear path to an A, wants you to succeed.

Professor Hintzman is one of the best math professors I have taken. She is very clear with lectures and instructions. She really cares about her students and is very approachable. There's lots of homework but I was thankful for that because it really helps you learn the material. I would take her again if I could! But she doesn't teach Stats :(

Prof H. makes Math fun and she has your best interest at heart. She assigns a lot of HW but only because the practice will help you retain the material! She's well organized and you'll always know what's going on. She is always willing to help and will throw out your low quiz scores. She honestly wants you to succeed! Wish she was teaching Stats!

Prof is tough. Find out what she wants. it's a lot of material to cover in a short time. She doesn't want to hear excuses. It you get behind in the homework you will not do well. Take advantage of Monday night Math Slam.

Professor Hintzman really wants you to succeed so she encourages you to see her or other math professors in office hours. Math 150 has a lot of homework, but all the professors use the same syllabus, book and grading system so that's a given. She is very patient and will go over something a million times if you need her too,

She is honestly one of the best math professors I have taken. She really cares about students and makes sure that everybody understands the material. I rarely turned in homework and still passed with an A. 3 tests and she drops the lowest quiz score. Final replaces lowest test grade. You won't regret taking her class!

Considering we were a bunch of babies in her class, she was very patient with us. If you know equations and decimal/percentages conversions you will do fine in this class. She is a very good professor and goes the extra mile to help. If she sees you struggling she more often then not come to you and help you. really great professor.

Professor Hintzman has a fantastic teaching style! She gives quizzes every class except on test days, but if your actually paying attention and doing the homework; it should be relatively easy. She is always eager to help. I actually think she works too hard. Just show up, pay attention, and do your work! Take her class, you will not regret it!

Took her for 150 and amazingly helpful, I took her 250 as well but didnt do so hot because I was going through my own thing. but over all she explains well, if youre not as great as math like me ask a lot of questions take good notes go to her office hrs and you'll be sure to pass and do the hw of course. shes a great professor take advantage!!!

Ive taken her for 150 and she was amazing also took her 250 but personally it was my own fault for not doing so well Prof. Hintzman is a great professor very understanding & very helpful especially when youre going through things but don't take advantage of her kindness Take the help, Office hrs are helpful and dont be afraid to ask questions!

I had the opportunity to have Professor Hintzman for a second semester, she is an amazing professor but the material did get tougher than last semester (250). She does explain things clearly but you honestly have to put in the time and work.
