She is my favorite professor I've had throughout my time here. You can tell she truly cares about every student and their success. You really have to try hard to not get an A in her class. Taking her again this semester for another online English class and I'm very happy about it!

Hands down the best professor at NVCC. She makes class very fun and engaging. She's always available outside of class to talk to if you need help with your essays. Also gives great feedback on them too before you fully submit them to her. I would take her again if I had to!

Comment:

One of the best professors I've ever had for an english class. Weekly discussions are pretty much all you're responsible for in this class other than 2 papers throughout the year and a midterm and final which you have three chances to take. Overall she is an awesome professor and person, very caring and happy to help to get you that A.

Lisa was amazing. I took this class online and I loved every part of it. I read a few poems and articles each week and then we had discussions about them. There were 2 essays throughout the semester. The midterm and final she let us have 3 tries at. This class was amazing and I'm not even into literature, I'm a business major.

INCREDIBLE professor!! I have her for English Literature and Composition (ENG102) and I take her class online. She is very kind and even was willing to give phone calls to her students to introduce herself at the beginning of the semester! As long as you participate you will pass with an excellent grade! English isn't my best but her class is easy!

If English isn't your strong suit, TAKE LISA'S CLASS! She is super thorough and takes her time to really help you understand the work. She is probably the best teacher on campus. Her midterms and finals are the easiest as she WANTS her students to excel in her class. Two papers! That's it! She is incredible and it's impossible to fail!

Her English102 course is amazing! I couldn't have learned literature and poetry better without Prof. Shuchter. She is a great professor who makes students feel comfortable around the classroom environment. She is flexible with students and wants everyone to pass her class. I would also recommend taking her 101 and 200 as well.

Dr. Shuchter's passion for literature is obvious and infectious. I loved the guided class discussions and her impressive knowledge and insight into the works we covered. Additionally she made our class a safe space to ask questions or offer our own opinions about the course material. Really enjoyed this class, and I struggle with english.

I Took the online class for eng 101 and Professor Shuchter is amazing. She made me feel like I was the best writer. I was comfortable writing any assignment she asked for. She is available for help and cares about her students succeeding. Do your work and you will do great.

Let me just start by saying I took this class a while ago but she was one of my fav professors of all times so that's why I feel compelled to write this now. She is the best choice for english! We had a few assigned readings and wrote papers on them. She is very helpful an easy grader and super nice. She even went with us to a play. Take her!

Professor Shuchter gave me some of the best feedback on my writing, and the topics we discussed in her class were both interesting and informative. Work is minimal with just some small discussion posts some weeks and papers due other weeks. She is very easy grader and cares about your progression as a student.
