Tries her best. Course content was relatively clear first term. Her clarity really fell off a cliff second term. Unclear and unhelpful teaching, and rather full of herself. Willing to meet with students, but either unable or unwilling to clarify concepts. 45 poor saps will get stuck with her for first year contracts, if you're in upper year avoid!

Professor Buikovic is awesome. One of my favourite professors in first year. She doesn't go through the facts of the case, so you have to make sure you do the readings. But so long as you keep up with the readings, she's really brilliant and very insightful. Awesome prof.

My least favourite prof all year. Rambles on about meaningless things and tries to be funny to avoid actually talking about the material and is completely unhelpful when it comes to answering questions asked in class. Extremely unclear, spins the question back at the person asking it and just ends up confusing everyone more in the process.

Comment:
One of my better professors this past year. Contracts can be a confusing subject but Prof B would always reiterate the important points from previous lectures and give us lots of opportunities to practice fact patterns along the way. The readings were essential and I felt quite lost in class when I hadn't done them.

A very poor teacher. Her lectures had no structure at all, and she would use terms without defining them. When students asked her questions and did not understand her responses, she could become hostile. Very unhelpful outside of class as well.

Asks students to introduce the cases by summarizing them, and teaches as if we all knew everything to begin with. Then makes a few fleeting comments in a heavy middle European accent. As an incentive to show up to class she makes extensive use of handouts which are critical for the open book exam.

I must echo the comment below; there is zero policy in this course, which would have made it helpful for relating purpose to the cornucopia of rules. She'll never answer a question outright and asking her will leave you more confused. She's funny and should inject more humour and personality into her classes. Plays favorites and can be very cold.

I'd avoid another class with her. She's intelligent and even funny. But she's not approachable at all. Additionally, she is overly focussed on rules and doesn't discuss policy at all. I found the course was more about memorising rules than learning the law. If you can learn that way great, but it wasn't for me.

I think she's an excellent prof. Covered a lot of material (too much!) and the final exam was hard, but she marks fairly. She spends so much time marking and she really wants her students to understand the material. A bit intimidating and intense, but she has a quirky sense of humour. She was one of my favorite profs; I learned a lot.

She's a smart lady, but her lectures have no structure, she does'nt define terms and instead just babbles on about a case and we're expected to extract the definitions and rules from that even though she talks so fast and her accent is hard to understand.
