I got an A in MATH 080. Professor is a nice guy. I went to class, did the nonobligatory homework and extra credit, and went to weekly tudoring, but along with others in the SEVEN member class, I failed. Quiz results were so bad that we had to do them as a group activity in class. Most tests were on problems not well reviewed. Final was horrid.

John is one of the very few high level mathematics instructors left in the world that still has the ability to give a siht. John goes greatly out of his way to help you learn the material if you put forth the effort in return. You haven't met an exceptional instructor until you attend one of his classes.

OK, how many other instructors actually sympathize with the students who struggle with Math?? Very few. This guy lets you have take home tests and quizzes because he knows this is a tough subject. He has a way of simplifying the material as well, which I have never found with another math instructor. Definitely recommend!

John!!! Is a the best teacher I ever had in math class. I loved his class and the way he teaches the math course. Honestly, he made math so much easy n fun to understand. Thanks to CS for having a teacher like JOHN WETZEL!!! I loved his class'!! Great teacher n I would recommend him to anyone who struggles in math .

What can I say about BIG JOHN?! He is one of THE best professors I have ever had!!! John is very helpful. He is willing to go that extra mile as long as you put in an effort. If you don't get it....he will help you get it. I had John in 102 and was excited to have him in 103. HE IS THE BEST!! I would recommend CSCC to have him fulltime!!!

This is my second quarter taking math 102, and the difference between John and my last professor is like night and day. The material isn't easy if you aren't great at math, but John is very helpful and does his best to help you understand. He's not one of those professors you feel like you can't ask questions. I'd recommend him for sure!
