Comment:

He is an intellect and he inspires you to think in a way you don't normally do, and assignments aren't that hard. Two papers will be all. Although one is 10 page min and the other is 15 page min, they were graded easily. It was an excellent experience and I do recommend his classes to all majors. Definitely.

He truly inspired me and made the lessons not only interesting and relevant, but so much so that I spent hours just researching our class topics on my own, purely out of a desire to learn. He's a very interesting person, very clear and articulate, and again - he INSPIRES. I've changed since taking his class. My favorite professor - he's great.

Louis Rene Beres is the best professor I have so far. Really knowledgeable, and experienced. Wrote tens of books and numerous articles. Unique approach & perspective. Loves Freud; the downside is he talks a very story multiple times and many of the required readings were his publication

Comment:

Professor Beres is easily one of the most interesting and insightful professors I have had a Purdue University. He has a graduate degree from Princeton, and is one of the foremost trailblazing scholars in international relations today. While some are opposed to the fact that a large portion of the course readings are his works, I didn't mind it.

Dr. Beres is an amazing professor. Those who wish to BS his class will get exactly that from it--BS. You'll get what you put into it. He is a highly qualified and extremely intelligent man. If you can't see that, you're not fit to be in his class.

A plethora of knowledge, this professor must be ranked among the best. There was not a class session were I wasn't on the edge of my seat captivated by the discussion he was orchestrating. His unique perspective and approach to the subject matter made his course on my greatest experiences.
