I took several classes under Ben many years ago, in the very early 90's. Regardless of the subject matter of the class, Ben made you think, and made you explain those thoughts clearly. What he did was sharpen my ability to think logically to a razor's edge, which has stood me in very good stead in the intervening years.

Comment:

Dr. Ramsey is an amazing teacher. At first I didn't understand the content, but he is very patient and willing to explain. You just need to listen to him to understand. He is the only professor I look forward to seeing.

This class was really hard for me. Professor Ramsey talked over my head most of the time. I rarely knew what he was talking about. As time went on though, I got the hang of things.

Ben is awesome. He is understanding and patient, but will keep you on track. His lectures are really challenging, but they make you smarter and change your view on life! Ive had 2 classes with him and both were excellent! Highly recommend!

Comment:

He's a pretty good lecturer and tries his best to explain things in a way that everyone can understand. There is a textbook that was used for the class but really it's only necessary to read the chapters he plans to use for the test (he'll tell you which ones). He's really not a hard professor but encourages you to think outside of the box.

Dr. Ramsey is super skilled at explaining different religions; he tries to explain it so that it's almost like you understand it from the point of view of a follower of that religion. You don't have to read, really, but it helps a lot. His lectures are very informative and if you listen to him you will do well.

The classes are long and boring. He doesn't explain things well, but that may just be the subject. He shows videos in class and then you are quizzed on them. He is an okay professor, he is just confusing when he explains things.

Mr. Ramsey is the only teacher who's class I actually look forward to attending. It's honor's psychology and religion, and as long as you have imaginative and theoretical thinking processes, you will do fine. Always talk, always show up, and always be open to the vast unknown that you explore in the class. Would take again, any day.

Ramsey is a pretty cool teacher. He thinks he is hilarious which makes his class somewhat entertaining. Each quiz was a different style. Just read the book and know the vocab and you should be okay. The info isn't hard, just boring to study.

Ben is not an easy teacher by any means, this class was abstract and hard. It isn't a class to take if you just want an easy grade, but if you want to learn something new then take Ben's class. Be prepared to be confused, but to have Ben push you until you understand. He is a strange teacher, don't come to him looking for normal, but he's great.

One of the best profs in the program. Helpful, offers challenging questions, and does not let people slack or BS in discussions. I like that he holds everyone to high standards. Don't be put off by his first impression, which can appear to be brusque or abrasive. He is really very warm, fair, and open to students who do the work.

He is awesome professor. Listen to him when he talks and try to analyze everything. His class deff made me think out of the box and go all the way deep. it was easy for me but others complained all the time.
