Boulter can be a bit tough to pass... three tests and a final. Mess one up, and you're screwed. She is always ready to give advice and help, but you have to ask for it; she does not deal with lazy students. Excellent instructor, tough class.

Comment:

Overall a nice lady. Sometimes she will give your homework a good grade, and if you bring up the same research points in a class discussion, she will say they are not right (or vice versa). That can be a little annoying. Also, her homework questions can be a little confusing.

I have a love/hate relationship with Dr. Boulter. One reason that I'm not really on her good side is because I missed a lot of class due to medical reasons and she took it very personally. I used to think that she was a good person but a horrible teacher. Now I think she is just rude all around. She is very hateful and disrespectful.

The work can be ridiculously easy but sitting through the class can be painful- she frequently has outbursts over people crinkling papers, tapping pencils, or eating in class, which cause more distraction than any of these disturbances do.

Tests were slightly random at times with questions on things we were never taught, however she is available to answer questions, trips to the Elementary School were helpful and I looked forward to them. Psychology is a class I enjoy, and Dr. Boulter made it a difficult but enjoyable trip. Very sweet woman.

I took every class that Dr Boulter taught during my time at Catawba. As someone who graduated from Catawba, I can say that what she taught both in and outside of the classroom have given me an advantage in the workforce and in applying for grad school. She is an amazing woman and excellent professor.

Learned a lot of info you can use in your later life. Good class, but there is some work that needs to be done outside of class like actually going to other schools which can be a bad thing

Great teacher and very helpful. Learned a lot from trips to the local elementary school. Sometimes I'd feel as though she should teach a kindergarden class because she'd talk down to us.

all her test come straight from the packets she hands out at the beginning of the year. Study those and come to the amount of days u have to be there and you will pass with ease.
