I have taken a lot of labs considering I am a Chemistry major but this was the worst lab I have taken. It is unorganized, confusing and graded unfair. She does not tell the students what is expected of them and all of the lab reports are group lab reports. She does not hold the people who do nothing accountable. Very disappointed in this instructor

She was actually pretty nice, but the lectures go right over my head. I did find in class- but the lab is what killed me. Good luck my friends.

Lynn is one of the most thoughtful and caring professors I have had so far at UMaine. Her exams are definitely tricky, but she is incredibly receptive to feedback and very reasonable about grading or if you miss an assignment. I would recommend her to anyone!

Professor Atkins is definitely a great person; however, the lectures are extremely hard and diffecult to follow. Her exams are pretty tough and all the info is really scattered. She needs to shorten up the slides a bit. Not her fault, but UMaine should make the lecture size smaller and also split it up into A&P 1&2 like most other schools do!

DO not take this class if you don't have an absurd amount of money to spend on one class; $200+ lab manual, $100 textbook access code for homework, and $50+ in required lab materials

One of my favorite instructors at UMaine, it is hard not to like Dr. Atkins. BIO 208 is more of an introductory course. Lab can be tough, if you do not take the time to learn all of the bones and muscles.

Atkins is by far my favorite professor. Attend her classes, take notes, pay attention, and you are sure to do well in her class. While the material covered may be confusing at times, Atkins is extremely helpful and very clear on all concepts. She understands her students and wants them to succeed. Take her class, you won't regret it.

I really enjoyed her class, it was a lot of material but she gives TONS of opportunities for extra credit and the class isn't just based on exams which was helpful for me. I hated lab but Atkins was great.

The material for this class is really packed into one semester when it could easily fill up two. A lot of topics were just skimmed over and we still didn't get to everything. The Lab is intense with quizzes and h.w. for each, plus the lecture also has online h.w. each week and quizzes, not to mention reading. Atkins is smart and a good teacher.

She makes A&P comprehensible. Her analogies are great, and she's very concerned with whether the class is understanding everything. Be warned: lab is like a whole other class and requires a lot of work.

Fantastic teacher. Makes a huge lecture feel like a personal class. Lab was fun, but tough. Perfect powerpoints, nice examples, very interesting. It was my favorite class this semester, and probably thus far. Very approachable. does well with special situations, answering questions, accomodating people, etc. I would reccomend this class and teacher
