She is great! I have watched her sit down and help several kids, not just with the class, but with their future. She really does care about her students. The class is easy as long as you show up and she is great at explaining concepts in a way that everyone can understand.

I took MUT1001 and MUN1340. The latter was my favorite class I have ever taken as it was choir class :) Lynn Sandefur is a fantastic teacher. She cares about her student's success, not her salary.

Listed on eSantaFe as Abrena Sandefur. Is very understanding and works hard for her students. Attempts to cater to both those with and without musical experience. The textbooks for this course are just workbooks and are very cheap. Homework is easy and short. Lots of free time in class to practice playing the keyboard which you are graded on.

This class is very easy for someone that has been in band or chorus through out middle and high school. But she only spends 10 mins at the board and the rest of the class time is spent sitting around waiting for her to hear you play songs. It gets really boring and she wont let you leave early after she checks you.

This is a great class and Ms. Sandefur is a wonderful teacher. I have always loved music and I was very excited to take this class. You work at your own pace and Ms. Sandefur is very helpful. I learned a lot from her and I would highly recommed her as a professor!

I love Sandefur. She's been a great help and very friendly. She speaks her mind and is very passionate about her work. I would recommend any class with her. She's awesome. Very personable teacher.

I learned so much from her! She is so gifted in teaching.For those who complain about "favorites"... Lynn likes dedicated musicians. She is an incredible encourager as well as her abilty to teach music, and make it so enjoyable, you don't want to leave the class!

Very nice teacher. Class goes at your own pace for the most part, except for the exams (there are 4 of thema and they make up almost your whole grade). I would recommend taking it on MWF because the TTh classes are too long for the class. Do work thoroughly, there's not that much anyway.

Comment:

Took notes on vocal chords and warmed up. Sang in front of class a few times and for the final you have to sing and dance in front of the entire singing department with no coaching but once all semester. Your used as extra choir memebers and that is mandatory. Waste of time and money.

I loved this teacher. She is very helpful and understanding. She was always willing to put in extra time to help. Fun class and easy if you do the work. Sandefur Rocks!!!!!

I didn't go to GHS and yet I still recive solos for the concerts. Just remember that is someone is on a VPA scholarship they have to sing a solo, or do someting for the concert. Just remember if you don't speak up..then you won't be heard.

This lady is just rediculous. My voice didnt get coached but one time all semester. All we did was warm up and take notes about vocal chords. The class was used primarily to make the sante fe singers a bigger choir. She is rediculous and unpredictable.

I took this class because I love to sing. I didn't go to GHS so I of course was not one of her favorites. The people in this class from GHS are very rude and make the class difficult and put a lot of drama and stress on you if you're an outsider because they are JEALOUS. I respect her skills, but don't expect a solo unless you went to GHS.

This is a voice class. You will have to perform classical music in front of the whole class, and learn extensive amounts about the vocal folds, etc. She made me switch my flight (which cost $100) with no remorse so I could take the "final" aka sing one song, and didn't tell us the date of the final until 2-3 weeks before the end of the semester.

IF you didnt have her in high school she pays no attention to you. She plays NASTY favorites, Have you been to one of the concerts? she allows he favorites to have solos even if they cant sing!She does EVERYTHING last minute and that is mega stressful.
