I love Dr. Garber. She is funny and she doesn't know it. Her teaching style is the best. You forget your are learning, but you are learning. Her class was one of the few that felt like it went by too quickly because I really enjoyed it. She seems to love teaching and it shows. Tests are straight forward, no tricky wording to navigate through.

Professor Garber is a sweetheart! Her classes are made up of lectures and discussions. Her lectures do get boring though. There are lots of papers (one research paper and multiple journals throughout), two exams, participation matters, and one trial. I wrote most my journals and even my essay very last minute and passed with a fair grade.

Prof. Garber is an incredible woman. She is super knowledgeable and passionate about what she lectures on and is just an all around pleasant person. Her classes are just challenging enough and she gives great personal feedback to encourage critical thinking and learning. She is always smiling and makes everyone want to learn science 24/7.

3 tests and 1 group projec/papert- 25% each. I got a 92 on group project/paper. Tests I got a low 70s even when I studied my hardest. This class was hard for me to concentrate in because the lectures were so boring. I do know a few people did good in the class. I had 4 A's this semester and a C or B in this class.. grades aren't out yet. Good luck

She's a sweet lady but terrible at lecturing. She babbles on forever and reads off her slides. 3 tests and 1 group project, all 25% each. The tests are composed of multiple choice questions and 2 essays. Class gets extremely boring, but her personality makes it suck a tiny bit less.

Dr. Garber is one of the sweetest professors who really cares about her students. The senior seminar consists of reading, reading journals, class discussions, 3 small papers, a presentation and a research paper. Theres constantly work for her class, but she helps you along the way. She is so sweet you will love coming to class regardless of topic.

Garber is the best. She genuinely cares about you as a person as well as your education and does everything she can to make you learn something valuable. She is SO smart and always has something interesting and important to say. The most important things I've learned from college have been from her. Hands down, best professor I've ever had at CSUF.

Take her!! 3 exams, 10 quizzes (she drops one), and participation make up your grade. You will be in charge of constructing discussion questions twice and guiding your small group through them (really easy). Gives you the questions on the test before hand which are essay and then she picks one. No presentations. Always replies to e-mail quickly!

Professor Garber was an excellent teacher! Her group discussions were a little confusing at first but we all got the hang of it eventually. Short lectures and lots of group discussions on the reading. So in case you didn't have time to do the reading, the discussions help fill you in. She lets you know exactly what's on the exams! Very helpful

She is a relatively dry teacher but she really cares! I appreciated her efforts with a class that most people don't enjoy taking. I encourage people to take her even though she can be boring in lectures because she wants everyone to be successful!

She is definitely one of the few teachers you can call GREAT. Kind hearted, always positive, encouraging and intelligent. She makes a difficult subject interesting and possible to understand. Her grading is fair and she gives you hints on what she is looking for- evidence. Bless her heart!

She is a very nice lady, and will answer any questions you have. But, this class was very difficult if you are not well versed on science or history you will struggle. The 4 essays are only 3 pages each but they cover topics not talked about very much in lecture. 2 midterms and 1 final 7-8 page essay. Overall I would suggest taking another teacher

Professor Garber is a very intelligent, sweet, and kind lady. She is very knowledgable on the subject that she teaches and is always happy to clarify anything. The lectures can be a little dull at times, but as long as you have a minimal understanding of the material you should be able to pass the class. I highly recommend Professor Garber.

Great teacher! This is a very boring class but she makes it a lot better. You have to do a lot of reading and get together with your study group 4 times to study for the 3 tests that make up your entire grade. If you ask her for help, she will explain EXACTLY what she is looking for, a huge hint on the test! She is very nice, loved this class!

I got a C in this class and did all the readings. She is a nice lady, but I hated her assignments. Always willing to help. When you do the papers and test make sure you state point clearly. She is nice to look at when facing the board :)
