The worst! Instructions are never clear, gives additional assignments last minute. Homework, quiz, and test are rarely correlated. Seems passive aggressive in emails, so I'm too afraid to email her more than necessary. Exams are very heavily graded, fail once, and you might not pass. 91% is an A, 90% is a B, so fight for your grade!

Highly recommend taking her ONLINE. You actually have to read the material though because she assigns additional assignments where you have to apply ur knowledge. 17 HW assignments & 17 Quizzes. Hw is unlimited attempts and quiz is one attempt also the exams arent that bad but its 60% so you have to do well BUT she gives 4 exams and drops lowest

3 exams, 17 quizzes, and some additional assignments. Although Exam accounts for 60% for an overall grade, exams are very difficult. So If you get 100% credits of all HW, quizzes, and additional assignments(but it's impossible), you may not get A.

Both times i've taken her class she has assigned extra assignments last minute. Like "here is 24 hours, do these 3 extra assisnments before time runs out". She's foreign so her English is poor, her assignments are not properly explained, and she gives very short time limits for all assignments. Find someone else who understands students have lives.

This class and the professor was by far the worst and most challenging class I took at DVC. Her lectures, as she describes, on Pearson is 240pp (lowest quality on YouTube) and she insists that you watch that before diving into the text because she says it's, "the most important part of the chapter", which isn't enough for the online HW and quizes.

Comment:
The class in general was easy. However, completing some assignments was a challenge due to poor instructions. There is hw and and quiz for each chapter weekly with an additional assignment but it feels like a waste, because her tests make up the majority of your grade. Her grading style makes it difficult to get the grade you truly deserve.

I took her hybrid accelerated macroeconomics class. She is very rude to students and doesnt really ever say anything that actually helps the student understand. Many times she would become frustrated that students were not grasping the subject. Unclear grading criteria as well.

Incredibly arbitrary grading criteria. If you want to actually learn anything, you're better off avoiding this class. She provides online lectures that are almost helpful, but I ended up just relying on online quizlets to get through most of the class. Terrible terrible teacher.

She is a tough grader and doesn't explain the subject well enough for you to get it. Gives you classwork with barely any instruction and grades you harshly on them. Is very test heavy with exams being worth a huge part of the grade and homework assignments being only worth a small percentage of the grade.

I think she is an okay teacher, but I honestly can not understand her when watching her online videos. English is not her first language so she speaks with lots of run on sentences and long answers to the point where you don't truly understand the question or the answer. She is a tough grader, will dock points for minimal things.

This professor has lectures she uploads online but you can hardly understand since the video quality is so awful. You have homework thru MyeconLab to do plus additional assignments due every week. There is an overwhelming amount extra work on top of regular hw/quizsdue. Wouldnt reccomend taking a class like micro online. Much easier in person.

Had Prof G for camp Econ or summer session and it wasn't too bad. things to note: you need to actually read, watch the videos, and do the hw. Study plan for extra credit but not a whole lot. Its a fun class and she can grade a bit hard but its fairly straight forward. Just read and do the hw and tests should be a breeze. Quizzes and hw are online.

Worst teacher Ive had. Does not teach and expects you to understand everything without being taught. Gives answers without any explanation. Gives 5 minutes to complete worksheets on lectures no one understands. If you enjoy teaching yourself then you will like this class. Extremely test heavy. Would not recommend.

By the grace of god I managed to escape with a B. She doesn't do much to actually teach, it's all on you. SUPER test heavy as far as your grade goes. Harsh and unclear on the discussion posts. Not the best option and wouldn't recommend.

Took in-person & dropped, re-took online which is much better cuz Pearson teaches you. Grade Breakdown: 10% HW unlimited attempts; 10% Quiz 1 attempt; 20% Additional Assignment usually a discussion post & reply; 30% 2-Midterms but drops lowest; 30% Final. So it's test-heavy. DVC has a terrible Econ Dept instructors. She's the better of bad batch

The class has 2.0 of difficulty for quiz and 3.0 for exam. However, the teacher always informs students significant information late, and this causes us harder to get a prospective grade. Economics is fun, but I don't recommend this instructor.

Her online class was super easy, you only have to put in a few hours a week to get a good grade. You don't need the text book. I emailed her about something and she was incredibly rude about it. If you take the class in person, take Bajrami. She is a thousand times better.

Professor Giuili's class is a good choice. I took her summer hybrid class which was 3 weeks and it was doable enough. Personally, her extra credit is not worth the effort for the points she provides for it. She is clear in her lectures and has an mcq style exam. Do not miss a class in a 3 week course.
