She picked on me a lot but only because she already knew me. She saw my potential and really pushed for it to come out as she did with all her other students. Even though its a class, she worked individually with her students to get them to bring out more of their voices.

I'll admit, she can be scary but that's only because she wants the best from her students when puts her best out there. She's a wonderful singer herself. And the rehearsals really help if you can't catch on during class time. She has her star pupils but she gives everyone a chance with auditions. Loved her class.

Great teacher; most people assume music classes (especially choir classes) are easy A's. Not this one. She demands the best out of her students, and if you give it to her, you'd be amazed at the result. If you really want to sing, take her classes.

She is very rude and disrespectful. She favors the men or star singers and takes it out on the women. She's time consuming and sometimes ask for extra practices at night. She will never admit that she is wrong. She'll act godly but she is the devil. She's scary when she's mad. She DOES have good technique but expects way too much from us.

She is a very horrible teacher. I feel belittled in that class and I don't recommend her if you do not have time to rehearse because there is outside rehearsals that are mandatory. She will get upset if u don't attend. She will Always make things seem like things are your fault! Nuff said!

Mrs Kim is an exceptional voice teacher. She can be quite intimidating, but she is fair. She seeks out the talent in people and works to bring it out. Her class is tough, but what you learn from her is totally worth all the work. She may seem strict, but she truly cares about her students. I recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their voice.

As a fomer Marilyn Kim student, I will attest to this woman's musical genius. She is absolutely amazing. She expects more than you think you could possibly give but trust me, if there's an ounce of talent in your blood she will find it and help you to cultivate it. TRUST HER!

Teacher is dedicated to music. Must want to improve yourself. Not recommended as a "cruise" course. If you come to class singing like YOU want to sing, you will be corrected, then you go to work. Those that don't practice, don't sing well. Be ready to learn and work. I wish I had a teacher like this in every class.
