Shes a great person, but a mediocre professor. The lectures are the main part of her teaching. She will read off EVERY SINGLE word from the power points and moves at a fast pace. Come to class she gives a lot of extra credit (all in group work). I dont recommend for anyone whos not a biology major.

This class was lecture-heavy, but I'm glad I had I took it with Professor Nishimoto! She is such an amazing and sweet teacher. She really respects her students and does her best to help everyone succeed. She gives us everything we need to know when studying for exams. It is not mandatory to come to class, but she does give out small pop quizzes.

Took for Spring 2015 online course. If you watched the podcasts and read the book, it wasn't that bad. Following the lectures will confuse you. With that being said, lectures were 50% relevant to what was on the test & what was on the quizzes. YOU NEED THE BOOK.

Angela Nishimoto was an all around good professor. Friendly, and easygoing. Just make sure you study for the exams because they are pretty tough (6-7 chapters in one exam).Handwriting is hard to read. She does give you extra credit which helps. Lectures are sometimes drawn out, but if you study them and go over the power points you will do fine.

Professor Nishimoto is very knowledgeable in Botany. She's very patient and answers any and all questions you have, even if you dont understand the first time. the study guides for exam are a life-saver. You don't really need the textbook (never used in class) as all lectures are from powerpoint presentations, but still good to have for studying

She's a really nice professor. But she tends to read straight off the slides. If you miss class you can retrieve the powerpoint on laulima. Overall, very easy class. Just sit in the front, ask lots of questions for the study guide and do extra credit.

I took this class as a distance education course. The extra credit that was offered the most points for was on campus. The extra credit she offered for those of us who couldnt come to class was way more work with smaller credit value. When I emailed her about that she didnt answer my question. If you can, take another class.

VERY GOOD TEACHER, WHILE THE AMOUNT MATERIAL CAN SEEM TO BE OVER THE TOP AT FIRST, IT ALL COMES TOGETHER LATER. DO ALL THE EXTRA CREDIT AND QUIZES, THEY REALLY HELP YOU GRADE. ANGELA IS ONE OF THE NICEST PROFESSORS. SHE REALLY KNOWS HER STUFF. BOTANY IS HER WORLD AND SHE IS VERY KIND

Be prepared for a choke load of notes. You may get writer's cramp because she goes by fast, a laptop is recommended if your a fast typer. She speaks so soft so I didn't bother listening to her because it was just too hard to. Just come to class for extra credit stuff sometimes, and take notes. I don't recommend this teacher that much.

She is a very nice teacher. She reads from her laptop and gives a lot of notes. Her study guides help yet, there are always no A's in class. but, as long as you get a C on your tests you'll do ok because she offers a bunch of extra credit for you to get an A. So go to class because sometimes she'll have free extra credit. all in all easy.

Angela does her best to make the class interesting. She does offer study guides and if you do them you will do fine on the exams. She also gives more than enough opportunity for extra credit. During labs she lets you try and figure things out on your own but is more than willing to help if you ask.An A is totally possible with a little bit of work.

Taking her class now and it's true. She speaks softly and way too fast. She reads out of the book and makes you feel like you are on your own. Kicks you right out of the nest and wants you to fly!

Horrible at answering questions and emails, and phone calls. Took online class, she never returned my emails or phone calls. She knows her topic, but does not help if you need her via online classes. Talks way to fast to take legible notes. She acts nice and sweet, but really makes you feel bad when you need help via email or phone calls.

Took this class online/ cable. She seems like a really nice person, however, she does have poor communication skills. Sent emails and have yet to receive a response... She does give a lot of opportunities for extra credit and a quiz every week (you get to take it 3 times)w/ your highest score being recorded. Four exams; multiple choice.

Not a good class for those with special needs. Very poor communications skills when trying to get answers. Exams do not show what problems you got wrong. Teacher does not respond to you whenever you need advise or counseling. Would not recommend this class to those who are willing to do learn on their own. She is knowledgable very poor communicator

This teacher is really hard to understand. I would depend more on the book rather than waist my time and go to class. I don't even listen to her! Me and my friends just talk while she teaches. she talks really soft.. good luck takin her class!

She is a great teacher, she covers material from top to bottom (seems like too much) but take all the notes you can, read the book if you don't understand and you'll get it. She offers extensive opportunities for extra credit, ask to do more, rewrite the exam questions and rewrite the answers to remember and you'll pass "A."
