This class is extremely easy. I mean its online exams have two tries except the final exams are super straight forward and resemble the homework and quiz questions. He honestly made finance the easiest class to pass I reccomend mark 120 Percent he even gives extra credit and he is super nice any problems with exam times hell accommodate for you

Took this class as a 4 week summer course. Its as straightforward as can be. Weekly homework assignments in MyFinanceLab and you can work ahead. Final was online. Highly recommend taking this course with Professor Stohs.

Comment:

Dr Stohs is very helpful that he relies emails almost immediately and explains in details. Also, he was the former chair of Finance department. Took it in Summer. So 1 chapter per day. Homework took a lot of time - 2hrs per chapter. The 3 tests may be the part that one loses most points. 2 projects require long time to understand and figure out.

I'm really glad I took this class with Professor Stohs! His videos are super helpful and straight-forward. Take advantage of the extra ways to study in MyFinanceLab because they really help you prepare for the exams. Took the class online over summer and he even let us take the final online.

He wants you to succeed in the course by offering extra credit and replying to emails quickly. All online tests means Coursehero and Chegg are your best friends, but the numbers may differ. Go over questions before the exam because you won't have enough time to google everything. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

I can't stand the majority of business professors at CSUF, but this guy is AMAZING. Doesn't try to trick you on hw or exams, fair grader, and he is always happy to help. The way this class is set up, you have opportunity for EC, which you learn to appreciate after not having it in most of your classes in Mihaylo. He WANTS to help you learn finance.

Comment:

Professor Stohs is awesome, he allowed me to work ahead in his online course and I was able to finish the course in 4 weeks including the final. Received an A. If you read and do the hw and practice problems there's no reason you shouldn't get an A or B. Some ppl told me not to take this online with Stohs, I am so happy i didn't listen to them!

Great guy! Very understanding and works with his students. Course is through MyFinanceLab, up to 50 points of extra credit, HW and a 10 question quiz almost every week but he drops the lowest homework and quiz score at the end of the semester. He emails reminders throughout semester too. Overall, loved him and would definitely take him again!

Do yourself a favor and take him! The best FIN320 professor! Not an easy A, but if you put in the effort, an A is obtainable. I recommend reading the book and practicing the sample exams. He provides clear lectures and answers questions quickly. He even let us take our final online. The second exam is the hardest, but the others are reasonable.

I am taking this class over the summer, and the subject matter is hard. He provides clear video presentations and helpful sample exams. The first exam was medium, and the valuation exam was not bad at all (only 25 questions & mainly on the TVM).The course gets more difficult as you go, but he is a great professor. I recommend taking him online.

Very well and clear structured online class. Prof. Stohs is very helpful and friendly. He provides helpful material and video lectures. 3 online midterms and one cumulative on-campus final (minimal curving). Weekly homework and quizzes. Provides extra credit opportunities.

Stohs was an excellent professor! I retook this class from last semester and he did a much better job teaching the material explaining each problem in detail. He offers up to 50 pts E.C. There are weekly homework and quizzes. 2 Exams, a Valuation Exam and a cumulative final. My grade dropped after the final but I was still satisfied with my B.

Comment:

Awesome teacher and super helpful. He is quick at responding to emails and will help you work out problems. Learn how to use the financial calculator it makes things easy. Tests get progressively harder as semester goes on however he is realistic and curves if there are things people don't understand. I would also recommend buying the book.

I had no idea what to expect from Finance, but he really made it tolerable. Homework and quizzes weekly online. He responds to emails quickly if you ask a question. Quizzes have two attempts. Two exams online. If you do the Sample Final from the book and attend the review session, you can get an A.

Here's what you need to know. Take this class online if you can! You honestly don't need to show up because all his lectures are online! exams are easy and so is the valuation exam. As long as you know how to use the financial calculator you're golden. Beware of the final because it is kind of hard. He's a cool professor though

Great class, would absolutely take this professor again. His practice tests are extremely helpful. Very similar to the actual test. He provides interesting articles to discuss at the beginning of class.

Very nice professor, uses MyFinanceLab for HW and quizzes and the first two exams are online with an in class final. Attendance is not mandatory, but it'll help your final if you attend to class. Just make sure you get high grades for online exams, HWs and quizzes and you dont have to worry about your final! Definitely would take him again!

This was a very easy class! Prof. Stohs can be pretty dry and boring during lecture but provides you with all of the necessary materials needed to pass the class. You'll have to purchase myfinancelab but he gives sample exams and video lectures that are helpful. We had 3 online exams and an in class final. Weekly online homework and quizzes.
