Dr. Hewitt is amazing--lectures are entertaining, engaging, and thought-provoking. She is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject, and always willing to answer questions or engage in discussion. You can really tell she has a passion for her student and what she teaches. Lucky to have taken her course.

Been a student at this university for four years now and she is the BEST i have ever had. Very interesting and never hesitates to have a well in-depth conversation with you on the subject matter - either in person or over email. Extremely interested in hear other students' remarks. I would take this course again if i could. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hewitt niether self-involved nor too busy for her students. She is witty and insightful, and can argue any topic convincingly. The most scholastically stimulating classes I have had have been with her. She has always made time amidst her BUSY schedule to work with me on any concerns or issues.

Agree with above. Don't trust the syllabus either - you'll be learning about her pet project no matter what.

check your brain at the door and you'll be fine. she's approachable and entertaining, but unusually defensive for someone purpirting to be teaching critical theory.
