I Loved Mr Lilly's passion for helping students get over a fear of public speaking. He loves his work, he also has some great stories to tell. I highly recommend his class! I would LOVE to have him again as a teacher.

It was an easy class. He told alot of personal stories and when you do your speeches he wants to hear stories. His tests were a bit tuff but if you read the material he gave u TWICE you should do good. Nice guy though. Id reccommend this class bc it was simple and if your taking double classes it wasnt much work

Very funny, guy told stories to make you feel comfortable so overall even the people were scared to talk in front of class, you would then feel really comfortable which is why he told his stories to make you relax good class Great teacher

Walt is great! Not a difficult class. The textbook is not used in class but you have to do the assigned readings on your own to pass the tests. He gives helpful tips to improve your public speaking and grades on your progress. He gave me a lot of useful information on something I'm not very interested in or particularly good at. I received an A

Entertaining instructor. Really understand speech structure and wants you to do well. Very straightforward with his critiques but they help you become a better speaker. I learned a lot. Had to read the textbook to do well on the exams. Grades on a curve. I recommend this class.

Walt was a decent guy. Not much of the class was from the book, just listen to an old man talk about his life. But I can say that I learned some things about Speech I didn't know before I came in!

Very pleasant man, but pretty disorganized. He spent a lot of class time telling stories, not really teaching. The required text book was never used in class, but he grades easily and the tests are not hard. This is a class that is show up and do your speeches you will recieve a decent grade.

Funny guy, gets tierd early.Wants speeches to be conversational.Lots of good help if he likes you.Test were hard but grading system not normal, more of the grade was on attendance and speech quality.Challenge the test, he often gets the wrong answer compared to the book.

This fellow means well, but has some really antiquated attitudes toward women. Does have a lot of good information on how to give speeches but his attitudes get in the way of transmitting it effectively. He ought to consider retirement soon.

Not a bad professor...although his methods are WAYYY outdated (he's an older guy). Giving speeches without any notecards or prompts is ridiculous and should be limited to professional motivational speakers.
