Such a poor grader, cannot speak or articulate a sentence to save her life, extremely unhelpful, does not email back, honestly dont understand the point of even taking her. Shell say thats a good question Ill look it up, so much for a top professor.

Martha is an amazing lecturer. However, her handwriting is so bad that she sometimes cannot read her own. She not only presents material precisely and thoroughly but also is prepared to take any question in context. The material itself can be a bit dry as philosophy as rutgers goes. Questions are easy- easy B+, little work you get an A

If you don't have a prior interest the material can be insanely boring. Bolton is the epitome of nice though tied with trip mccrossin. Need to take good notes because the material is as challenging as it is boring but she grades fairly on papers. If you can handle kant, you can handle this, if not, look elsewhere.

She's really quite brilliant. Sometimes a little dry but he topics she chooses to discuss are generally interesting once you understand it. She writes important stuff on the board but it's hard to read her handwriting so you should just take your own notes and listen to what she has to say.

Martha is a great prof. She knows so much about these authors, their views, and how they relate to 18th cent thought. Sometimes she lets the discussion get a little off track, but for the most part class is very enlightening.(plus I gave her a hot pepper)

She knew her stuff and can tell when you don't. She will encourage class participation. Material can be tricky (esp. Kant), but she will explain so you understand. Let's u hand in papers late w/o penalty.

Rutgers graduate. Prof. Bolton was great. fair grader. I had Descartes, Locke and 17th Century with her. She cares about the material being understood. Encourages rewrites, is always available and although she may seem uptight, she really an intellectual.
