Comment:

She is one of the best professors I met. She killing herself through the class and explain a lot to the students to make them understand the math because math its not a game and a little people could pass it. Math is the soul of all scientific materials . I actually recommend Prof. Martha for any student who really loves to study math

Do NOT take her. She makes you do a lot of work taking an online course and read about HOW to study instead of math. Doing the homework doesn't help since the questions she gives on the tests are VERY different. She deducts points for stepping outside of the class and is strict on attendance. There is a lot of extra credit, do it ALL to barely pass

This class is not for slackers. If you dont do the homework, you wont pass. The class is fast moving, if you dont like notes, dont take the class. She requires study skills homework, which isnt math homework, its based on how you study. Waste of time. She is a very nice person, and will help as much as she can, see psp tutor as well

This professor expects you to live, sleep and eat math. Her daily pop quizzes are not easy to understand and no matter what part of the section you studied, expect to see something else. All these quizzes are at the beginning of class too. So hope you we're at last lecture,

Comment:

Professor Carey truly cares for her students' success. She is kind enough to provide optional quizzes to lessen the homework amount, give credit for your work, offer extra credit, and let your personal best scores factor into your final grade. Even the quizzes prepare you for questions on exams. While this class is challenging, it is also fair.

I do not recommend taking her class at all! Seriously, save yourself if she is the only professor left with open spots in her class WAIT 'till the next semester to take Math with a different professor!! I am a hardworking student & I struggled within the second week of her class! She expects you to know everything & gives a ridiculous amount of hw!

A lot of Math xl homework. Daily quizzes help for preparing for exams. There is extra credit. Follows the syllabus to a T, meaning you can have an A, B, or a C in the class before the final and still fail the class because a 50% wasnt acheived on the final exam. If your a C student or struggle with Math then it will be very difficult to pass.

This won't be the easiest math class, but if you work hard you'll be able to get a good grade. You'll need to study for the daily quizzes, she gives a lot of extra credit. If you aren't that good at math I wouldn't recommend taking her, but she is a really good teacher that makes you work for your grade and prepares you for your future math classes

NO, NO, NO, NO, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT take her. She goes through the information too quick, does not stop for anyone, and expects you to know everything. DON'T take her, it will save you a lot of stress, and mostly your time.

If you have taken this class before and maybe you want to retake it and receive a barely passing grades, you might consider taking her class. With all my respect to , she is not the best in teacher. She gives you each day two homeworks in MathXL, two or three quizzes, and a very little time for lecture. She is expecting to know everything.

Her teaching style is more technical. If you DON'T want to hear the technical and unnecessary notes that shouldn't concern for you and want it straight forward DON'T TAKE HER. Even if you are confident with your skills I recommend don't take her. Please look away, it will save you lots of stress and tears and money. She will even say it to you.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. The lessons are like drinking from a fire house (so fast). Everyday New Quiz (PQ). HW online (MyMathLab) HW due everyday. Book Optional (not required). Few E.C. opportunities. 0 sympathy for personal life. Prepare to Teach yourself. Exams are ridiculous and you run out of time. The Teacher is nice and Knows her stuff.

Skip her. Never take her. If you want to risk your grade be my guest. Almost 90% of the class have Ds or Fs just in the beginning of her class. Those who have As or Bs are fast learners or are verbal listeners. If your absent because unexpected life events she won't give a care in the world and simply say to leave much earlier.

She is good teacher and answers all your questions, you spent one class reviewing for the exam, which helps you achieve better results in the exams There are daily quizzes, daily math XL assignments, four exams and the final, but she gives a lot of extra credits. If you are not a fast learner in math, I wouldn't recommend this class

SOOOO much homework its honestly ridiculous. You literally have homework due every single class meeting, and it isn't a few problems, its more like a shiii ton. She's really good at explaining but if you suck at math like myself I suggest you don't take her, I ended up dropping her due to the amount of homework being overwhelming.

Seriously, do not take her class even if it's your only option. She gives a ridiculous amount of work with inadequate amounts of time to finish the assignments. This goes for exams and quizzes too. Gives a stack of handouts each class that are useless, then refuses to answer questions because it's "in the handout". Never again.

Unclear about what she wants, daily quizzes (which wouldn't be an issue if there were retakes but there aren't). Lectures are either tedious if you follow them, or brain melting if you don't. Be prepared to teach yourself math, or have the tutors do it..
