Comment:

Came in contact w/ Mary Beth my senior year - prior I never had issues w/ any of my professors or classes. She had it out for me from the moment she laid eyes on me and made sure that she destroyed my student teaching sem; tried to have me removed from the program! And Cedar Crest did NOTHING. She is by far the most evil person I ever met.

Mrs. O'Connell wants nothing more than to make sure you SUCCEED in the classroom. She is an amazing woman who truly cares about her student teachers. If you do what she says, GET ORGANIZED and work hard, you will do really well. She really wants to help you, but you HAVE to help yourself!!!

This woman is terribly rude and mean. Even teachers who are not even at Cedar Crest who do her favors are uncomfortable around her. She is not nice to parents and really could care less about her students. She has actually made numerous students cry!

Ms. O'Connell is strict to say the least. She is demanding and personally I don't feel she should be head of the department. Her demeanor is harsh and cruel and she seems to genuinely dislike students

Mrs. O'Connell exmeplifies the heart and soul of Cedar Crest. She will go the extra mile for Student Teachers. Make sure you do your Portfolio though...it will help you in her class as well as later on in the job-search.

Absolutely the best teacher I have ever had. She prepares you for the classroom and makes sure your ready for it. You will get out of her class as much as you put into it and more. I have yet to come across a better advisor, teacher, or mentor!
