Holy crap, what a hard class! I struggled in Calc I but this class made Calc seem like cakewalk. She marks you off for being late to class but yet she arrives late. Material hard or bad professor? I think a little of both, you get quized alot and they were hard if you fall behind on your knowledge of the material...

Phelps unfortunetly teaches the only sections for PHI 109/421 so everyone is stuck with her. She gives alot of material and quizes you on the hardest proofs and translations she can muster up. She rarely justfies her steps in the proofs for her examples and moves very quickly through them. You may want to download Logic Coach and get Hurley's book.

She's an intelligent woman, however she's not easy. I was good enough to put through both classes. I had lots of classmates suffer from her classes though. Too bad she's the only one teaches these logic courses in UNLV.
