Comment:

The most authentic and understanding professor I've had at Syracuse. Brilliant, warm, and always wanting her students to succeed. She is what I wish every professor would be at SU especially in our current climate.

I had Dr. Chessher for my Honors Orientation Seminar. Although I didn't have her for anything related to English, I could tell that she would be a caring, direct instructor who gives pointed feedback. She always had enthusiasm and the ability to adapt her teaching to real-world situations. My assignments were not difficult.

Possibly one of the kindest professor I've ever met. Amazing. Sympathetic. Encouraging. But she tells it like it is, it must be the Texan in her. An idol. If you don't take a class with her, you are LEGIT missing out.

Sure, she's great if you're a girl who wants to work at a woman's magazine. But if you don't like mindless grammar exercises, unclear instructions, arbitrary grading habits and professors with unexplainable hipster attitudes, stay away from Chessher. She's nice person and all, but not a good prof for guys. Not that there are any in mag anyway...
