Comment:
I had Priscilla for Intro to Philosophy and Philosophy of Feminism and she was AMAZING. She is knowledgable on philosophy and really makes you think about things on a deeper level. Her tests could be difficult, but if you actually put in the work, it is an easy A. Also, she gives out extra credit, so that's always a plus.

This was my first philosophy class ever & now I'm considering it as a second major. Super interesting. Sakezles is a great professor. Very intelligent & uses a mystery novel as a textbook. Discussions are fun & informative. Great study guides & easy exams. Lots of homework but mostly your own opinion. Loved it!

Class was relatively easy if you show up and take notes. Discussions tend to be drawn out. She focuses a lot on feminism and atheism which is her field of study but isn't necessary to gain a basic understanding of philosophy. Also there was no mention of any types of reasoning or logical fallacies which seems to be an integral part of philosophy.

Interesting lectures that are not hard to follow. The book was easy to read but the content is hard to wrap your head around. The test are VERY hard so study up and memorize everything verbatim. She likes to test on small quotes and details. Other that that she gives extra credit, but last minute. She gives quizzes on the reading too.

Dr. Sakezles is an awesome professor. She is serious about teaching but makes her class enjoyable. She makes it really easy to understand and differentiate the different philosophers. She also used a novel instead of a textbook which was pretty nice!

Wonderful teacher! I decided to minor in philosophy partially because of how interesting she made the classes. Tests require A LOT of writing, but they're easy if you know your stuff. Homework is easy, usually just requires you to write a page about your thoughts on the readings. DEFINITELY recommend taking her classes!

Overall great professor. Yes, the exams are a little rough, but as long as you go to class and actually take an interest in the material, doing well isn't hard. She shows great enthusiasm for the class and really tries to get students thinking about the concepts discusses. If you plan to take philosophy 101, definitely take it with Dr. Sakezles.

Tests are impossible; not a fair grader. Her goal is to bring A students down to a C range. An intro course is not meant to be this hard. She picks out trivial details and tests you on it. Make sure you can regurgitate everything verbatim off her handouts if you want to succeed. Take this course with anyone else! Terrible quality.

I enjoyed the class, she is a great professor. My only complaint is her tests. It is hard to judge what she expects in the answers. You can accurately and completely answer a question, and still she expects more. Its almost as if she wants you to regurgitate an entire section of notes word for word to get full credit.
