Fun class. Doesnt give letter grades- uses "check+" or "check -" Has requirements for each grade. To get an A in class u must do 14 journal entries(about stories in book), 12 responses(due each week; half must be typd essays w/check+ grade), attend&write about poetry reading, co-lead "fun friday", present creative project, no more than 4 absences.

Ms. Morton is a wonderful teacher. although it is not an easy class just read the assigned material and you'll do well on the quizess. no exams, just written papers. IMO it was a fun class. we also had really good discussions which made the class more interesting. :)

to me this class was like a high school class. We had to do a bunch of worksheets. She made us do Silent Reading. Group presentations at the end. Everytime we do quizes she let us grade them ourselfs and 90% of the class just filled in the answers. this class isnt easy its a lot of useless work, but if you like doing usless work, go ahead.

A good teacher and helpful person. Challenging entry level class but for some reason has an attitude problem. I had no problems with her or the class until the last day. When we went over my grade she snapped on my when i asked why my grade looked more like a C than a B. "Is this life or death?" was her explanation to my question.

Ms. Morton is really nice to everyone in class. She is always willing to help her students. She gives a lot of examples so that students understand clearly what sheâ€™s trying to teach them. beware... Class is very easy however she can sometimes confuse you and tries to make the papers EXTEREMLY complex. She assigns the papers then starts teaching how to write them 3 weeks before the class ends. You spend more time reading then doing papers. Don't lose the journal she grades them at the end. If you can write papers w/o take her.

This class could have been so much more interesting if students would have participated. She had picked great books that could have led to very interesting discussions, but apparently noone bothered to read them. Can't believe Ms. Morton still had the engery to show up for a class of such lame students! SHE did her job! And she did it very well!!!
