Though the professor is kind, he speeds up his lecture a lot. He solves most of the problems in the board in his head so it becomes difficult for me to understand how he gets to point A to point B. His online homework is no help since most of the problems are not even going to be on the test and the homework is super long.

Prof. Divinia is a super easygoing, understanding and caring man. I took 3 classes with him. He gave extra credits and extended the due date for hw several times. He does give lots of online hw, also the test can be long. But if you can keep up with hw, you will be ok. He lets you use computer during the tests, quizzes.

Comment:

I do not recommend taking professor Divinia for Math 62 or any higher math. He gives a lot of online homework that are very long and his tests are hard. Math can be fun sometimes if provided with adequate resources. He slacked off the first 6 weeks of the semester that gave me a big set back in my progress in math.

He's hella chill and explained the subject really well. I was doing pretty well in his class up until Pokemon Go came out but that's on me not him. Felt bad for slacking off afterwards but managed to pass still.

Took him for the summer. All of the work required is online, and the quizzes are based entirely off of the homework and lecture--as are the tests. Lectures are clear, he is willing to re-teach the lecture differently if you don't understand it, and he is also very kind. Be warned, however, do not slack with the homework.

worst teacher ever, only assigns hw online which take so long to do. Literally does nothing in class, he always comes late... never teaches.... expects you to learn on your own. I mean hes nice but does nothing to help you.

Quizzes and Tests are freaking long, you spend almost 3 hours to finish his test, and 30 mins for quizzes. Online homework is a nightmare, it's long and than I can expect. Webassign has new hw so you cannot get help from Google. His lecture is boring, but overall, he lets you use computer and notes while u do your test. Should find other teachers.

Professor Divinia is a great professor. I took business calc with him and you have to do your work to earn the grade you want, it's not just given. Material can be hard and his lectures can be boring, but he gives you plenty of chances to earn a good grade in this class and succeed.

Positive: Teacher is friendly and will help if you go visit him during office hours, grade is curved, gives more then enough time to complete homework, can use Calc. and notes on Quizzes/ Tests Negative: Class is hard, Teacher does not explain clearly, there is a lot of online homework

Very laid back teacher. Super friendly. If you do the online HW and pay attention, you should be fine. Don't be afraid to ask him questions or interrupt. He also grades on a curve!

He is a pretty chill teacher. He was not much help when asked. His homework is all online and wasn't always relevant to what he was teaching. Hardly anyone showed up consistently. No text needed. I passed because I paid attention and taught myself. Real easy class if you have patience.

Extremely Knowledgeable in his field, math. Very helpful answering questions during as well as after or outside of the classroom time. Extremely accommodating. Overall, one of the best instructors. Highly recommended.

Spent the first month talking about what kind of calculator to purchase. He assigns a ton of homework but does not teach the material in a timely and concise manner. He comes off as excessively laid back. Not a good fit for an advanced math teacher.

He is an okaay teacher. He does give a lot of online homewrk, so if your a procrastinator, then this is not a class you would want to take.The only hard thing in his class was online homewrk, other than that his midterms and quizes are easy as long as u do the online hw and study the formulas from the book
