Dr. Fuson is a good educator and a good man. Trust me. If you care about learning chemistry in a meaningful, lasting way, take the courses he offers. He's gracious and kind. For four years, I knew that he cared more about me as a person than as a student. He will challenge you to think deeply and carefully. Thank you, Dr. Fuson.

Dr. Fuson is a good guy but sometimes his lectures were unclear and he would oftentimes need to correct himself. His tests are very fair, there was only one question the entire semester that I had never seen before. That being said I read the textbook and took notes. All in all he wasn't a very memorable professor in a good way or a bad way.

Dr. Fuson's lecturing is a bit confusing, but he does give guided readings that will help. He is a bit condescending when asked questions, however, that doesn't mean he won't help. His tests shouldn't be hard if you study and do the practice tests he gives you (which fairly similar to the actual one). He does mean well, and definitely prepares you.

This class is certainly difficult (as you should expect with any chemistry course), but incredibly valuable. I had to transfer to a different university and, after taking two courses with Dr. Fuson, I found that I was ahead of many of my classmates . His introductory courses prepare you extremely well for organic chemistry.

I had him in the previous class and completely hated him, after having him a second semester I found that he was actually a better professor than I though. He is hard to understand in class, but 1 on 1 he explains stuff well. If you go for help he does at first talk down to you, but when he gets to know you he is actually fairly helpful & nice.

Dr. Fuson is extremely condescending when asked a question and has little understanding for struggling students. His explanations for questions do little to enlighten the student. I strongly dislike him. Evil takes human form in dr. Fuson, stay away from him.

Dr. Fuson, while a very nice guy, was the worst professor I have ever had at Denison. He was very unclear, and unhelpful and makes you feel very stupid by talking down to you. If you have the option take another professor, I lost all interest in chemistry because of Dr. Fuson.

I have mixed feelings about fuson. on the plus side, he lets you retake all the tests up to an 84 (great). However, he is extremely rude if you go in for help, and makes you feel like an idiot for having a question. dr. joe for example is a much better teacher, but its harder to get a good grade. so its a toss up
