Dr. Hiltbrunner is the reason I am going to minor in philosophy. He is a great professor and he knows his stuff. He doesn't put up with laziness or tardiness, so don't take this class if you don't want to go to class. Show up to class and participate and it would be extremely hard for you to not learn.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. He is wonderful at engaging the class and clarifying every bit of his point. He is a very wise man and taught me so much during our class. He is very funny and sarcastic which made his class that much better. Favorite teacher ever... hope to have him again some day!!

Class attendance is mandatory, because class sessions are a kind of lab. This is a more traditional instructor in that sense, so you must be there to get his announcements (not online). He's fun to engage. So long as you attend class, pay attention (so you catch his 'hints' for the tests), engage, & maybe read a bit -- you'll do fine.. Reasonable!!

Took him last quarter. He's a great professor. He really makes you think from every angle & everything he does will only help you. If you're taking this class with him, you're in good shape. I only did the readings 75% of the time & I got a B in the class. I had no interest before I took it, but I ended up enjoying his class.

One of the best teachers ever. The material isn't always easy, but he'll focus on it until it's clear. My only warnings are that he isn't scared to swear or question a belief. He isn't harsh towards any belief, but if you are close minded, it might be a bit much. This goes for close minded athiests, Christians, agnostics, etc. Take this class.
