He's very enthusiastic when giving the lecture. Even sometime he pushes students to much and make s us a little bit stress but it really helps me prepare well for the final exam. His lecture note is very detailed.

Michael is a gem of a stats prof! If you've never taken stats before I would strongly recommend him. He looks beyond the textbook and course outline, and desires to make students understand the application of the material they are learning in real life scenarios. He LOVES what he does and it is shown through his teaching.

Mechael may not be the best stat teacher in Langara, but he definitely is my favourite one. He gives you a lot of practices with the answer key, and that prepares you well for the midterms and final exam. I recommend him to hard-work students who expect a good mark. As long as you do his question, the test will be fine. btw, he is cute and funny

His methods of teaching are unconventional and may not be the best for a lot of international students. Explanations in class are very limited and studies are mostly done by students through text books or online research independently. Explanation of concepts are mediocre at best and normally do not inspire students to be interested in the subject.

has pre quizzes and post quizzes for every class, kind of annoying because he talks a lot in class and sometimes goes past when class is supposed to finish, by 2 minutes. happy go lucky guy, will take questions and appreciates participation. He sounds great but the subject he talks about is boring and explainations kinda suck

Fairly easy grader if you can get on his good side. But terrible instructor. If you are planning on taking further stats classes or looking for a quality instructor, choose Albert Wong, Robin Susanto or others.

Michael is very approachable and had a lot of enthusiasm during lectures! Come to class with the readings done. Make sure you understand his notes which contain practice questions and answers that are the same format as quizzes and tests. Weekly homework assignments, one group project, 4 term tests, and a final. Easy marker, great prof!

Michael cares about all his students and is the happiest person I have ever met. You don't have to look at the notes to learn, just pay attention during his lectures which feel like a high school class! He has a lot of assignments and tests but if you work hard you will be fine. He does have a problem wording things properly.

I think Michael's teaching style is really good for students who came to class prepared. Every class you are expected to read the previous module for upcoming iclicker questions. Overall I would say just finish reading the material before class and you will do really fine. There are homework every week but shouldn't be too hard if you put effort.

Notes are not helpful at all. Textbook is not mandatory (according to himself) but I found it mandatory when it's too late. Very tough grader and would expect you to know everything before coming to class.

Great teacher! He uses the flipped classroom method of teaching, which is amazing. Make sure you read the notes and do the pre-worksheet before every class and you will do great. If you don't, you won't understand in class and you'll fall behind.
