Prof Solt was one of my best prof while getting my Finance degree. He is genuine, and will help those students who are hard working, engaged, etc. Not an easy class...but that should never be a criteria for taking a class. Want to learn? This is your guy.

He is a excellent professor. I really like his projects although they are time consuming and hard to summarize. But it was really fun!! It is a real financial analysis class!

I have nothing bad to say about this professor. The material was challenging and interesting. He mixed in quite a few guest speakers from private equity, venture capital, and start-up firms to give some 'real world' situations and experiences. Great class, and great professor. If you take this class, attendance is mandatory, but it's worth it.

Comment:

Dr. Solt is very helpful professor with lot of insight into the subject matter. His class New Venture Finance was really informative, augmented by guest speakers from different venture capital firms, CFOs and entrepreneurs. If you are interested in learning how to finance and start a new company, never miss his class. Case studies are really great.

Yeah, yeah, the nearly 2 times a week quiz sounds fun. It makes me look smart for having good grades on quizzes.I was so sure that I was gonna nailed that final exam, but I didn't. It made me feel I the stupid student ever. Was in the A range throughout the semester and ended up in the B range. Urgh!

If U want to have fun & learn at the same time.This is a class 4u.Prof.Solt is great.I learned sooo much. No HW, but quiz almost everyday. Exams are hard, but he grades very fair. He's always in a good mood to teach, but if u don't pay attention he might get a bit grumpy. Did I mention he is hot??:)

He is a very very nice guy...NO M/C questions.only short essay,defination (5 out of 50 choices),and calculation problems in the exam.but u have to do the exams fast since time is limited. study his reader is really helpful if u do u have time to read the text.u will be fine if u do not require an A.

in 177 easy, fun, entertaining and excellant. For NVFinance an MBA level class. IT was the first time teaching, therefore I expected bumps. the class was challenging, at times confusing. NVfinance was cross prjt mgt, not CEO training. Verry Usefule.
