Comment:
Three midterms and a final. He spends the whole class talking to himself moving back and forth between concepts with no flow in his lecture. It's all physics and he goes through the calculations too fast. The exams are all very difficult but he curves them. Overall, terrible teacher.

This was a fun class because i enjoy phyiscs. dont worry, im not nerdy, but all semester i sat in the front row and answered all his easy questions. he knew my name and new that i cared a bit about the class. he says at the beginning of the first class that grades are skewed. if you have a 70 average you get at least a B. I got an easy A.

Vaughn is a really nice guy, hes just not a good teacher. And the course itself is not very good, i thought i was going to be learning about stars, not physics. He is so awkward in the funniest way, like when he tries to lower the projector screen but instead opens the blinds. Nice guy, terrible course. don't take it.

Intro to Science. This dude has no idea how to teach, he should retire. He rambles on about stuff that isn't int he books. Go to the practice test days and memorize it and you will probably do fine. His grading scale is awesome though. a 74 is a B

Astro: Course is still getting off the ground and needs improvement, but Vaughn is the perfect person to teach it. Excellent derivations, obviously knows much more than what he is talking about. Test material is no surprise, though questions range from "derive" to "calculate" to "describe in words".

Vaughn is the man! Took his astronomy class and the quizzes are extremely easy. His tests are all copy and pasted questions from the quizzes leading up to the test.Only problem I had with the class was that he does not explain the mathematical problems efficiently to those who didn't take physics.

I took his astronomy class. I can see that he knows what he's talking about, but i found it extremely difficult to comprehend. Half the time I was lost. However, on tests and such a lot of the same questions are used from quizzes, making it easy to do really well on test and finals.

Vaughn was the best professor I've had at Northeastern. He was very helpful for Physics 1-3, as long as you werent a dumbass in his class.

Intro to Science- This class is absolutly worthless. He seems like a nice enough guy, but he really cannot teach. He is unclear, goes off on random tangents, and even trails off midsentence. I doubt he knows what he's talking about. Just read the book.

Intro to Science class. This class is ridiculous, no need at all to go to class lectures except when he goes over practice quizzes. Just skim the chapters and do the practice quizzes. He goes on about crazy unnecessary science if you are not sci major

He's an incredibly nice man, but his lectures tend to get very confusing, especially if you're not a 'science' person. You're better off doing the readings.
